An ad-hominem is "You're retarded therefore your argument is retarded"
My argument was "This argument is retarded because it leads to these ideals which are pretty fucking ridiculous." which is not an ad-hominem. If you're going to use a fallacy please be aware of its definition. I have never once attacked you as a person, or your arguments based beliefs. You sound like a pseudo-intellectual pre-teen when you go around calling ad-hominem when you don't actually know what it means.

An Ad Hominem attack would be along the lines of "You don't know anything about sexuality because you're a perma-virgin who will never have sex in your life." While this statement is true, it is a fallacy, though i never said anything about that while we were talking.

I know a number of people who identified as homosexual before ever losing their virginity. Some who even were interested in relationships first and needed time to be comfortable with sex. How does this reconcile with the theory that homosexuality is some odd sex addiction?

Plus, how come Alcoholics Anonymous and similar rehab programs work when straight camps never do?

Pretty much every sex segregated environment, for one. You see it all the time and throughout history, from single gender schools to prison to sailors and even to modern day places like Iran and Saudi Arabia. People get lonely, sex feels good, sex relieves stress, it's the best option available, and the bonds developed through this aren't even all that different from how they develop through non-erotic love.

They generally don't. Which is why they say once you've become an addict, you're an addict for life.

But substance abuse is nothing like homosexual sex. Abuse of anything only ever brings people to ruin.

Upon looking into it a bit more, it seems you've got a point. Rehab programs' success rates are shady and questionable. However, the reason for this that most people posit is that predisposition to substance abuse is a genetic trait.

Why do you pick and choose which of my points to answer, by the way?

Please, for all that is holy, be civil. I know this is a very weird view point that I disagree with myself, but let's not get the thread closed due to one viewpoint. And as always, if I see baiting, I will slap you, call the cops, and have you thrown in jail-- and you will not past go and collect $200 autismbux. Seriously, though, I will report you and call you out on it. I like baiting as much as the nex guy, but this is not the place.

This post is not directed at anyone within the debate right now: I am just reminding you all to keep this civil, and as this argument progresses, not to get it too heated and emotional.
 
Off topic, but as a gay dude, it really fucking bothers me that a lot of gay dudes don't use condoms. "Oh, we don't do vaginal so we can't get STDs and shit". Dumbasses.

I honestly make fun of those types of people constantly in chat; you aren't alone. I think if you know the person and love them, then you can decide whether you want to us e a condom or not. Beyond that, and you are risking it and being stupid.

I remember in high school, I was in a really liberal area, and one week like 3/4 of the gay kids ended up with genital warts or some shit.

Most gay kids now don't know what it was like to be gay when AIDS was actually deadly and there was zero hope. The triple cocktail is really good at fighting HIV and so a lot of kids now just think, "Oh, I'll get it and take some pills and I'll be cool," or "I'm bound to get it eventually, so I might as well get it." It's sad.

The worst part is that "AIDS Chic" is a thing. People are giving themselves HIV because it makes you thin and glamorous or some shit.
