I came across this Reddit page, u/Catrin_Glitch/ who runs the subreddit r/Catrin_Glitch/
his twitter is: Catrin_Glitch

the posts are esl babble. he has 2.2k contributions, presumably all about this one fortnite skin that hasn't been for sale for about 160 days. it is interesting to see yumes all use such terms of finality like "eternal inspiration", when this dude will realistically drop this skin when another gooner skin drops.

You know what i find funny is how lots of yumeshippers are gay IRL but most would happily ship themselves with a character of the opposite gender.

You can't call yourself a dyke and then claim your in love with a fictional male character.

I think a lot of them are just bi, scared of men, and think “lesbian” is trendy. Either way it’s pretty braindead

If you mean the person running the account they are 24 years old. But if it's The character in the pictures then i think it's suppose to mimic petite women because its a sheep. But your right it looks kid like and now i have some questions.
I wasn't referring to that one, but rather the person who yumes the Lynx looking character.

Kiwis, today I'm confused.

This drawing (can't archive as you need to log in) appeared in my radar due to being Blazed (aka, OP or someone else used money to promote it site-wide), and apparently it's of someone self-shipping with Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes.

Except that, in the same post, OP insists she's NOT a self-shipper? Even though the tags on this very post say otherwise? I get it, you want those notes, but why post under labels you don't identify as?

I'm also not sure what the difference between self-shipper and ficto- is, even when reading the OP's term directory. The OC is a self-insert, her pinned is in the first person, so is she just trying to be "not like the other self-shippers" or something?

Attention.

How dedicated one is to the bit, so also attention.

I would figure it's a similar thing to otherkin/fictionkin where people want to stand out from the others so they insist the character they identify as is actually LITERALLY them, not just a "kin"/"fictive"/etc. In this case, she's saying her super special relationship with Travis Touchdown is REAL, unlike those other silly yumes who only play pretend. :smug:

I guess it could be used to show yourself as more "serious" (as if, these people switch every business day) as some others have posited, or maybe that she considers herself exclusively attracted to fictional characters (that's the whole point as "fictosexual" as a term/sexuality).

But honestly, don't take it too seriously, regardless of what term they use to describe themselves most are not particularly serious about it.
