Apparently Sebastian Solace is a mix between various species. But I don't think he's a Whale. So I don't know why they would buy this considering (I do believe thats an actual mold of a Whale Dong. If I am suspecting this dildo was made by Bad Dragon.)

Tbh while these are weird choices in terms of characters to get attached to, I don't really see anything wrong with them. The art is cute and the Quagmire chick especially can mimic the show's style pretty well.

What I like seeing the most in this thread are the more insane/obsessive selfshippers, the nonsharing shippers that get into a bunch of slapfights or the ones that generally go above and beyond for their weird cartoon husbands. That Endive chick was the most batshit & entertaining one yet.

Most dedicated selfshippers are on the more harmless but obsessive side, like the Stan/Francine Smith shipper (archive is being a total shit right now, sorry) that was mentioned earlier in the thread. She mostly posts commissions of her sona with Stan / Francine and writes really long, sappy descriptions for each post.

Another one would be this chick who shipped herself with Bill from King of the Hill and even had a whole ita bag dedicated to him. She was actually really sweet, but had a lot of mental health issues and some TikTok zoomers thought it'd be funny to send her a bunch of threats and run her off the internet. *sigh*

I'm not seeing the issue? I think her art is fine. Sure, it's weird that she's obsessed with Roger Rabbit and married his VA, but whatever.

I won't deny that the art was high quality, I just thought that they were odd choices to self-ship with (but at least these ones were relatively "normal" about it)
 
If we're going to talk about the harmless yet more dedicated self-shippers, BigPenny_/shrimpycake (I'd add archive links if any of the archive sites worked) is a personal favorite of mine. She became well-known for being THE Bubble Bass girl after this reply she made, which is how I discovered her myself.

She's not a lolcow, she seems to be very self-aware, positive and takes being poked fun of in stride. Hell, I'd say she's more well-respected than anything as a result of her work and the way she comes off online. Just an example I've noticed of this pattern where, the more unconventional (or, dare I say, ugly) the male character, the less lolcow-worthy the self-shipper seems to be.​

It is what it is, not to go full autistic sort of incel, but in general women get away with way more than men do when it comes to weird/eccentric behaviour (hell who am I kidding, it happens with sentences due to crimes too), oh they love a fictional character "so quirky and weird hahahaha, it's her special interest" while if it's a dude "fucking incel, he obviously can't get himself a girl to fuck, lol virgin", funnily enough there's no fucking difference but well, she's a girl so she gets a pass.

I don't think I've seen anyone defend these women except for men that want sex and other selfshippers defending their own.
I knew a girl that was a fujo that shipped little anime boys. Could've been a selfshipper too, she was that type. She was petite, cute, not a hamplanet. She was ostracized at school because she was a weird weeaboo dork. Women were never mean to her face, but they also didn't socialize with her and made fun of her behind her back. Men ignored her except for those that wanted to fuck her, which were assholes that abused her (she was really stupid and naive, I honestly think she might have been somewhat retarded)
Women are handled with kid gloves more often but that doesn't mean they get a pass to do this weird shit. They will still be mocked and alienated just like waifufags.

Then we might not be reading the same threads as the difference between here and the waifuism thread (which I followed for years and have been following this one since the start) is to me at least notable and I do believe a part of it can be attributed to gender, not like it tends to be outright defense mind you, but the attitude and commentaries about the individuals.

But we might as well agree to disagree as there's no point in arguing about it (partially because we would just shit the thread up).

I do love seeing the odd unconventional harmless yumeshippers and I appreciate people posting more of them. Even if they arent milky I find them fascinating and enjoy digging through their profiles and looking at all the art.
