Suddenly applying that rule where it hadn't before feels cheapI figured the Keiichi vs Teppei scene was shown like that cause of Umineko's "if everyone present (Satoko and Ooishi) agrees that something happened, then that's how it's depicted" rule.
I don't think you can pull that off when we've been following Keiichi's point of view all this time even up to that scene, and the whole scene we saw in Gou doesn't even match up with the story Satoko told Ooishi, especially with stuff like where the bat came from and who let who to the house, making it all bullshit, anyway. And Umineko's "rules" only work because Beatrice's game was designed around the conflict of mystery and fantasy, so tricks like that are by design. You wouldn't expect them to apply to all Witches' game boards within the Umineko context of game boards, and especially not to fit within the game board concept as it exists in Ryukishi's other stories that use the concept in its own ways.I figured the Keiichi vs Teppei scene was shown like that cause of Umineko's "if everyone present (Satoko and Ooishi) agrees that something happened, then that's how it's depicted" rule.
this is going to be if I have to watch more recap episodes but with smug satoko
Yeah, I'd invite a dick into my mouth over this, too, if it means killing boredom.this is going to be if I have to watch more recap episodes but with smug satoko
It can't be worse then Rika washing windows with her ass in KiraToday's episode was a strong contender for worst episode thus far.
Pretty much no new material, either, other than Satoko being a ninja now.
WHO'S READY FOR SEASON 3!?!?!?3 EPISODES LEFT AND WE'RE STILL RECAPPING.
3 EPISODES LEFT AND WE'RE STILL RECAPPING.
3 FUCKING EPISODES LEFT AND WE'RE STILL USING SHIT FROM GOU.

Rika losing virtually all memory of the hours prior to her death (barring some vague things she can remember) was always part of how things worked for her, and a fundamental aspect to make the plot work. The only real question this scene creates is whether Hanyuu always forgot too, as it was presented in the original, or if she was just lying all this time. This is bullshit because if Takano was always the one to knock Rika out, then how in the fuck did she not ever remember who it was who kidnapped her? She was at least somewhat aware that people were going to come after her, but she never knew who was behind it.
Rika was quick to give up on individual worlds, and was only putting in the barest amount of effort, but she still had hope that the next time was going to be better, which is how she could both give up on Rena during Tsumi while also talking about how the next Rena was going to be better. It's only when the miracle world of Minagoroshi goes to hell when Teppei returns that she starts thinking that perhaps all her efforts were useless from the onset, though she doesn't make concrete plans to give up for real until she finds the resolve to actually fight again, which she obviously doesn't end up going through with because of all the important development she underwent (and subsequently forgot because fuck you) in that arc.Nah, Rika was giving up long before “Massacre” happened.
Yeah, it was there in the last episode, too. For some reason they stopped giving the uncensored versions to their overseas distributors, which means that the next episode is going to be fun, given how extensive the censorship was on the TV release of the disembowelment episode.YOOOOOOOOOO WAS THAT SHADOW ALWAYS THERE GUYS
Yeah. They've been doing this from the onset, as seen in episode 4 and 7, which makes perfect sense since Rika is only looping now due to Eua's power anyway, though it's conditional to her dying before Satoko. As long as Satoko dies (shortly) after Rika, they'll always end up in the same fragment together.Remind me again, but has not-Featherine and Satoko always been able to see Rika and Hanyuu talking to each other? Is that exactly why it is Satoko is even able to follow Rika to the next world so perfectly? Even though Featherine told her that wasn't always a possibility?
I don't think it's any worse than Rika constantly talking to Hanyuu in the original without anyone ever noticing, but if this was a VN or manga it probably would've just been part of an internal monologue. They're really adverse to using those in the anime, with only a handful of scenes really have any kind of internal narration. Ooishi's thoughts during the scene with the village council is probably the most notable one that was shown. And how did no one in the group hear Satoko mumbling this to herself?
