Ah, blep. Nevermind me.It... did though...
Another point, though. There's four people at least in most of these fights, sometimes up to 7 or 8. Now, a good fight choreographer would be able to make most or all of them shine. We don't have that, we have Miles & Kerry. So it's not surprising that Blake gets overshadowed, especially considering
1: She's a 'Rogue' next to a 'brawler' and thus it's less likely she'll have the flashiest finisher or options.
2: Her ability is cool but kinda weird, and the general endumbening of fights over time means she doesn't get used to her full potential.
One more case, though. The Blake v. Ilia segment:
Volume 5, Blake vs Ilia: With the caveat that Blake is clearly holding back and not trying to turn Ilia into paste, it still makes her look weak and it's not helped by the fight just being really slow in general. There's also the segment where she takes a single kick into a table (only just hard enough to rattle a chair) and that's enough to weaken her enough that Sun has to break out the gunchucks and lay a smackdown on Ilia so hard, the resulting concussion gave her character development.
It's actually a good example of how 'flashy' doesn't mean valuable. Blake freezes Ilia's whip by using her tendency to block bullets with it against her. Then sun comes in and breaks the ice, allowing Ilia to whip again. Which kinda flies directly against this sentiment and this read of the fight.
