It... did though...
Ah, blep. Nevermind me.

Another point, though. There's four people at least in most of these fights, sometimes up to 7 or 8. Now, a good fight choreographer would be able to make most or all of them shine. We don't have that, we have Miles & Kerry. So it's not surprising that Blake gets overshadowed, especially considering
1: She's a 'Rogue' next to a 'brawler' and thus it's less likely she'll have the flashiest finisher or options.
2: Her ability is cool but kinda weird, and the general endumbening of fights over time means she doesn't get used to her full potential.

One more case, though. The Blake v. Ilia segment:
Volume 5, Blake vs Ilia: With the caveat that Blake is clearly holding back and not trying to turn Ilia into paste, it still makes her look weak and it's not helped by the fight just being really slow in general. There's also the segment where she takes a single kick into a table (only just hard enough to rattle a chair) and that's enough to weaken her enough that Sun has to break out the gunchucks and lay a smackdown on Ilia so hard, the resulting concussion gave her character development.

It's actually a good example of how 'flashy' doesn't mean valuable. Blake freezes Ilia's whip by using her tendency to block bullets with it against her. Then sun comes in and breaks the ice, allowing Ilia to whip again. Which kinda flies directly against this sentiment and this read of the fight.

Maybe it's the bees, but people really like to champion Yang.

I have to stop reading the first one.

That fawning and praising of Yang suddenly being an engineering genius make me want to claw my eyes out at the sheer spew of autistic lunacy.

Just how old are these faggots?

The issue is they USED to be small. But since the show has only gone further down hill, so many people have outright dropped the show that they have become the primary fanbase.

You could say that the vacuum that was filled by the shippers was caused when the majority of casual viewers...

Honestly, this guy isn't even wrong tbh.

RWBY is only kept alive because the crew decided to jump in bed with the Shipping Jihadists after essentially taking a fat shit on the normies, and steadily losing fans since Volume 4 but the heel of the leaking really showing itself after 5 proved to be a complete dumpster fire to hilarious proportions.

Much as we keep bringing up comparisons with Voltron Legendary Defender, even the showrunners didn't shit the bed so hard on their show that they ran to said poisonous Shipping Jihadists to save it in some form AND even better? They smacked that "UwU Bois!" pairing so hard, it drove the Jihadists crazy to make their own AU to live out their fantasies.

CRWBY is even more spineless than the Voltron Crew, and considering their apology to fans over queerbaiting controversy says a lot.

Not to play the Devil's Advocate, but at least in Voltron's case, they can actually blame the fandom. Someone literally blackmailed them to make Klance canon. RWBY fans are just internet crybabies who either turn out to be underaged or man/womanchildren.

The Queerbaiting Controversy that I was referring to was with Shiro, and his ex-fiancee Adam when the latter was hyped up by Netflix PR for VLD until he died a hilariously quick death during Season 7, opposed to the horrific Klance controversy.

Funnily enough, Bumblebee and Klance almost have similar origins with one another:Both were same sex pairings that became popular, until they took a turn for the worse and became toxic as their loons tried to force their pairing down people's throats harder than a dick for a hooker who got paid to suck;while people projected onto certain characters.

Difference is the Voltron Crew didn't cave into the Jihadists, even after Lance lost the girl he went from horndogging to legitimately having feelings for her and he still didn't hook up with Keith after the Epilogue like the Klance fangirls wanted.

Do you really think a show that does ship baiting would pass up the chance to go full love triangle?
Bruh, Sun is gonna go full on cheerleader for the "Oh, so progressive relationship of the century! Yas, you slay queens!"

If you honestly believe that these degenerates wouldn't just go for the straight on cuckoldry, then you haven't been paying that much attention.

The only thing I could think of is Sun saying something along the lines of he never really saw Blake in “that way”. Sun as a character is pretty chill and go with the flow.
