What?
Alright, so, I'm one of the people who don't buy that Adam was always abusive, but let's point out the fact that the only reason that Ironwood is acting in a totalitarian fashion is for 1) him trying to make the best out of a situation, 2) Team RWBY outright lying to him about the situation (which has it's own problems) and 3) Bumbledee and Bumbledumber some how getting it in their heads that telling Robyn Hill about the tower is even a good idea.
Which while Ritcher said above:
Is true, there's another issue - And that's due to the fact that Robyn isn't even that trustworthy to begin with - if she was, she would've used her Semblance on Penny or the dog guy (I forget his name) at the rally to prove whether or not they were telling the truth about the attack. To me, it seems like she was looking for an excuse to break the law, not that she needed one, since she was already doing that.
Let's assume, and this is an assumption, that Adam always was a creepy ex-boyfriend stalker - the comparison to Ironwood wouldn't work, because the only reason why he's acting this way is because RWBY decided it'd be a good idea to lie and break his trust... Well, to be fair, Weiss didn't do anything there to violate his trust, in fact, in all honesty, the fact that she did discover Watts and exposed her father should, for all intents and purposes, show that she has been loyal to Ironwood.
But back to the mistrust issue... I don't really see why this is really much of an issue at this point - Since, well, Oscar already blabbed about what the group did to him, and yes, he was shaken, but he was already resolved to fight.
Look, the latest episode might've been good, and hey, I actually like Ironwood as a character, but we can't look at this episode in a vacuum. And with all the BS for this episode, it does taint it... Especially when Team RWBY acts like they have a say in what should be done at this point after the bullshit they pulled.
Don’t get me started on Robyn’s Semblance and how much could’ve been solved in this godforsaken Volume, but I fully agree that she just wanted an excuse to keep playing vigilante due to her own ego being bigger than a horse. As for Bumblefuck and Bumblefucker, I still don’t get their logic of telling Robyn the truth while Ironwood is still in the dark with what the Teams found out...
Let’s go over what both had done, since this Volume started;
Ironwood;
-Gives Yang a new robotic arm after Adam sliced her old one off like holiday ham, free of charge.
-Shares info about his plan for the Amity Coliseum and the Winter Maiden, not hiding anything from either RWBY, JNR, Qrow, or Oscar.
-Allows them to reside in Atlas Academy, where they get housing for free and even upgrades / tweaks to their weapons along with new threads.
-Bond with the Ass-Ops via training and joining them on the Mining Mission.
-Promotes them to Huntsman and Huntresses, out of the kindness from James’s heart since he feels their ready...They also get free cake.
Robyn;
-Is introduced committing a crime of interfering with a military convoy carrying sensitive cargo, and openly admits to not being interested in doing things the legal way before her cronies try to steal said cargo from Ironwood’s operatives, until Penny shot that shit down.
Apparently, Robyn is too exceptional to wear a mask to commit her crimes.
-After she loses the election and has her rally attacked, the Not Antifa (Happy Huntresses) group returns to committing their terrorist actions and steal from Ironwood for weeks apparently.
Robyn Hill didn’t give jackshit of anything good ever since they arrived, so I don’t know what they were thinking of telling some bitch neither of them know very well (Outside of her propaganda about how good she is and how she’s doing this for the people), and even if Tyrian wasn’t the one who attacked the rally, who’s not to say that Robyn couldn’t have one of her cronies pulling a false flag? Literally, these clowns sold state secrets to some dumb hoe who proved that she won’t not be a criminal.
I am glad Ironwood shat on them, lol.
