Such as having it be broken. Hell, I'm surprised Yang's arm didn't break, we've seen how easy Atlas tech has been hacked and destroyed.

It wouldn't be thematically appropriate - but it would be funny to have a scene where Watts hijacks Yang's arm and hits her with it repeatedly while saying "stop hitting yourself" over and over.

But that's actually funny and good writing, which means it will never happen.
I’d say it wouldn’t happen because cybernetics and artificial limbs really can’t be hacked.

I knew Eddie was a big deal, but this is ridiculous.

IMO nobody will care about RWBY a decade from now or when the woke zeitgeist dies out.

I'm not sure there's a huge contingent of people who give a shit about it now, much less 10 years from now - it had a small splash when it started and some people (myself included) thought it had potiental - I don't think that potential has been realized in a significant way. It was a novel idea (American Anime) but I don't think they started anything culturally significant.

It isn't better than any "current/popular" anime (My Hero, One Punch, Attack on Titan), it isn't better than any "older" anime (Full Metal seems to be a common comparison point), and it certainly doesn't have anything that would make it a "classic" (Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Lupin). It's just going to be lost in the sea of "hey that could have been cool" with ten thousand other animes.

I'll have to say Ironwood. Even when he's being written to shit, he's still the same cyborg general that took on a bunch of robot soldiers with just a gun and point-blank shoots that Warthhog Grimm Weiss summoned in V4.

Meanwhile on the Twitter peanut gallery, people believe that guys who say "RWBY should get arrested" are the HTDM and not following common sense.

I love how they legit say "Well yeah RWBY lied to Ironwood BUT HE DIDN'T TELL THEM ALL THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION HE HAD" as if Ironwood is required to just spill out important information to the girls who just showed up. After everything Ironwood has done for them (including fighting to save them in Volume 3 and giving Yang a top of the line robot arm for free, giving them Huntress/Huntsman licenses) he gets crapped on by the fans because the show tells us we're supposed to not trust him. I'm having flashbacks again to Raiko from Legend of Korra. The fans will legit support anything the main characters do because they buy into the protagonist centered morality.

"You're right Private! Your unorthodox approach of not only withholding vital military information from your superiors, but also leaking them to an unknown local who may as well have been a Taliban plant, is when I think about it pure genius instead of reckless if not an outright act of treason! And what was I thinking not disclosing to you top secret military intel way beyond your clearance? My apologies Private, you're dismissed! Now if you excuse me I must check my privilege!"

I'll agree with Ironwood, and I'd tack on Adam (pre-butchery) and Qrow before he became a background prop.
