Now this tweet is even funnier, because well his advice sucks BUT he fucking tags stocks and stock market, where he suggests not owning stocks. Now, what about the word equity? For an investor two things stand out, he's talking about different strats and investment vehicles, in this case you'd not say equities but stocks. Also you'd be plural. So it's not just a typo, it's a mis use of a term.
For what he said (with out him knowing) is 30% of your investments should be things you own, part of. So yes super diamond Roy is saying, your mortgage, and car loan are part of your investments... One could argue the first but that's splitting hairs and unrelated to Roy being flat out incorrect, and comical.
I am not that smart but, if you ask me my net worth, I wouldn't say I owe the bank another 100k on my house, so I'm rich!
Lastly, why the FUCK would you put 20% into cash right now, super economist Roy doesn't understand inflation hurts cash holders, I do suggest personally and professionally, having cash on hand in any wealth growth account, for a number of reasons but unless I was stated by order of a client holding 1/5 in something were seeing a 7+% loss right now is absurd.

It occurs to me that Roy believes in magic. Specifically, he believes that if he just says the right words, people will give him everything he wants.
However, he specifically believes in black magic. He's not casting spells to make people happy, or make them like him. He's trying to appeal to unearned guilt and shame, to weaken them into giving him things. Not only does he want to win, he wants you to lose.
It's no different from the trans scammers who natter incessantly about "life-saving surgery". They know they lack the constitution for suicide. They just want to make you do what they want, by weakening your resolve to maintain a realistic world view in the face of their crybullying.

Perhaps I did get a little too off track on Roys babble, but as he loves to lie about we are an equal country in regards to law. If Roy is so damn smart and good, why not open a DBA or LLC? The costs are VERY low for the sheer reason, we want people to go out and make their way in the world. Earning ones way and independence are foundings of this nation.

It's interesting he picks his tenses and swaps them. This scam isn't up and running yet and I have no idea what he's trying to sell even. I'm not sure what services are being offered, being Roy legally can not touch anything Security related, at best he's going to be able to tell you what to do and expects you to pay him for that? Part of the reason we use brokers isn't just their understanding of the market but they also do the nitty gritty buy and sell. Now in our current era it's 3 clicks to buy a stock print it's info etc. But unlike Roy most of us have jobs, and peace of mind has value. We the agents between client and investments are there for that. If you want to know if Apple is a good buy, you pay me for this talk, now it's either based on a consulting fee, or charged as part of your management costs. End of the day, they still have to follow your requests, and do the leg work. Basically what I'm saying is if you want to know what is good for 300 dollars to work with, it's part of the job to explain it. Also , if you want to buy bit coin, apple stock, magic beans your broker is to do that for you.
Roy can't touch your stuff so you get to call him, listen to him repeat what he heard on Jim Cramer last week and then he expects a cut after that talk you then have to log into your own trading account like Ameritrade Toro etc and then do what he says. I'd personally just skip the middle man then right ? Why would you pay same for someone who isn't going to be making the moves for you? This is investing Roy, not a fucking Korean Hot Pot where you cook your own damned dinner.
In regards to the tense shifting, he talks about this portfolio as if it's real and been around. We have no evidence, Roy has any stocks. He's poor because he doesn't work. If Roy had investments we'd hear about them he loves to brag. That's also why he shows his tips rank around, you know the FAKE portfolio. If he's killing it so hard, why isn't he scrapping a few bucks up buying 1 real stock, then making enough to flip to two.. doubling that and so on. When one is trying to figure out what Roy is thinking, it's best not to overcomplicate matters. Don't assume rational or informed ideas. Think like a toddler.
In this case, don't think about what he could do within the law. Think childish wish fulfillment. Think:
"I wanna have a fund! Gimme your money, at least a, a, a thousand dollars! I'll charge...one...percent? And it will be my fund! No promises of profit, no refunds! But I'll make a profit. But no promises!"
Will this be legal? Almost certainly not. But at the rate he's been complaining that others are allowed to innovate and create because they have "privilege" and he does not, I think he's building up an excuse to start a fund. He's only seeking opportunity, after all. How can that be illegal?
