You know, the problem isnt the model itself in this case, its just how much of a leap it was from Zotova to this one. Zotova felt like a balance of strength, beauty and professionalism. She had a wide range of emotions. But the new one isnt very flexable and she legit feels like a downgrade in appearance, now Jill looks oddly small and underdevelop like she is a freaking teenager still. Zotova was convincing she could kick my ass but the new one legit looks like I can easily overpower her. She just wasnt a good choice.
And they cant exactly say this was an engine thing because after the backlash of Chris's face being changed AGAIN after it seemed we finally reached some level of consistency with 5 and 6, they decided to remodel his face in 8 to look more akin to how it used to be, reaching a healthy middle ground. So they clearly could remodel Jill to look more akin to the old one (but then again, one must wonder why bother changing it in the first place).
And Death Island trailer did confirm that they are sticking with this design and Jill oddly has started to lose me as a character and she was easily in my top 3 RE protagonists. Its just not her appearance that changed but her voice and behavior.
Unless I'm confused, you're talking about the leap from Julia Voth to Zotova. Unless you're talking about the mod video? I really confused.
Also, the teenager Jill issue is made worse with how the Nu-Jill in remake is. Capcom's writing & specially the dialogue with it's excessive swearing for dialogue (take it from someone who cusses like a pirate) since RE2R. She lost that calm, kind & caring attitude, which was to contrast with the hot-headed & quickly-angered Chris. Hell, even when she did found out that Carlos was working with Umbrella. she was still very kind, reasonable, & diplomatic.
While the Remake Jill is literally the opposite, she's pretty much a snarky cunt here compared to her OG compassionate self. Hell, that was one of the things people disliked about Jill in RE Apocalypse, her personality change. Hell, it's one of the things people disliked about Alice in general, it wasn't even personality change, she at the time was basically the same modern bitchy & sarcastic girl-boss™ Hollywood gives us nowadays, except really hot because Milla Jovovich.
The new Jill feels definitely feels physically immature, & it feels even worse when she speaks.
One more thing is that Julia Voth's version had very soft & sweet features which complemented her personality, while Sasha Zotova's version has somewhat sharp features. Zotova's face also reminds of Alice a bit due to those features, there's a mod for that too btw
I've seen tons of Voth mods but I've never seen one done of Sienna in that game. It's the best of the three in compared to that Voth version but I've seen better. She had no business being such a fantastic live action version of Jill. Although her smoking and dropping F bombs was weird but whatever.
The default is so god fucking awful. Retards actually coomed over her.
I remember after it came out I came across this fanart interpretation for her look in a remake and thought it was infinitely better even with more skin covered up. It's basically the form fitting tube top with sleeves.

That's cause Sienna Guillory actually played the game for the movie. She researched Jill, & might have even been the main character if not for Alice thing, which is more Capcom gatekeeping than Paul W.S. Anderson (Capcom has a huge role in Anderson flicks, than most know about). She somewhat tried it for when she played Blonde Jill too, she loved the role & character.
The dialogue could be actually on P.W.S.A. himself, but if Capcom itself does it now than they're not better than him. It actually feels like foreshadowing for what came later.
Love the design tho, it's got way more character than the remake one.
