The top mod and subreddit founder of the litrpg sub got outsted in a silent coup because another moderator was making comments the other mods didn't like in a politics channel on the discord that the top janny wasn't even aware of or made aware of before they ousted him.
I started this sub 12 years ago, because I love this genre. I love the books, I love the authors, I love the community. I have been here for the first couple years when there was noone, this sub had a membership of under a 100 people and I watched as other people found something I loved and they loved it too and the community grew. As we grew we needed mods to make the place run and I looked for passionate people with the interest and spare time to help mod this place. We had our fair share of drama, but I think we have done about as well as a mod team can over the years, we have had some excellent mods.
Tonight I was removed as top mod without whisper from anyone. My flair in the discord shows inactive on the mod list and that is how they where able to remove me, but I have been active behind the scenes communicating with the mod team in the discord. I have mostly left the post and comment moderation to the people I trusted.
This "level up disocrd" and my removal as discord owner was all done because a couple of our new mods, poeple who have only been members of the sub reddit for a couple years at most disagreed with the political views of one of the mods who has been here since the beginning. They removed him as a mod, demoted me and stripped me of permissions and are starting a new "discord" because the person they disagree with owns the current discord. They did this without a word to me or him, I found out I lost this sub when the post about the discord hit.
There are very few things I have done in my life that I am proud of. That I could "brag" about. This sub reddit, this community is one of the things I have done that I am most proud of. I am hearbroken at this turn of events and am probably going to step away from the community completely. If they allow this post to stay up, know it was an honor and a pleasure this last decade.
People I trusted took unilateral action without talking to me. In the 12 years I have been top mod I have always tried to do what’s best for the community even when it meant beefing with authors or other communities. I had never seen any of those comments before today and no one, not one single person told me they had a problem with Snow. Yes I was inactive physically moderating comments and posts. But I have stayed engaged in the discord, always tried to be there in support when big decisions needed to be made and trusted the active mods to manage the day today. I was not an absentee founder. Yes Reddit marked me as inactive, but Reddit doesn’t automatically reorder mods to my knowledge or remove permission.
I’m not condoning coldbringers comments or damning your or anyone else’s aversion to them. I am hurt because people I trusted felt like they couldn’t trust me. I am hurt because even if the position of top mod is somewhat ceremonial, I was proud of it. I spent more time growing this sub from nothing than any of the “active” mods have been members combined.
Another mod posts a couple of google docs of some of the comments that got the mod removed
hi wisintel and litrpg community, i'm claire, one of the discord mods on the old and the new server. while i'm very unsure about the state of the community right now, and have my own reservations about what's right and wrong here, i want to make two things clear as maybe the only true neutral party here:
1) we are not wresting control of the litrpg community from you.
your removal as top mod (as you are still a mod) happened as a result of your sympathies toward coldbringer and the mods have been discussing reinstating those permissions since you requested them in the discord. we believe you're acting in good faith and no one has any problem with you as far as i can tell. the others are scared because of your sympathies toward coldbringer/coldbringer's sympathies toward you and the goal of this has been to remove coldbringer from any position of power within the litrpg community. that leads us into
2) coldbringer is reprehensible.

"we are not wresting control of the litrpg community from you." Sure looks like that's what they are doing.
I was potentially with him until "Better a pedo than a communist." and the classic my brother got a record for being with a 17 year old. That's always always a lie.
Sometimes r/bald is the funniest place on the website. Normally it's just "look at my exceedingly slight hairloss, clearly it's time to shave" but then you get this sort of shit:
I won't rain on anyone else's parade, but I feel bad for this dude. He didn't ask for his head shape to be fucked up and it's obvious he had some medical problem or injury. I know he's a Reddit user, but Jesus Christ.
Wow, those users actually are saying to the mods that they're useless jannies lmao.
Usually you see asskissing at the top and this shit extremely downvoted.

I do feel bad whatever he's going through that's making him suicidal because a decompressive craniotomy (craniectomy, sorry) is no joke. It's a last resort kind of thing where cutting out chunks of your skull is preferable to brain damage, so he had some kind of life threatening condition he survived only to become so depressed he wants to khs
also I found out after researching, they DID put the bits of his skull back, and apparently the bone just heals together like that sometimes. I would've thought replacing bits of skull bone would keep its sort of concave shape but I guess not. Your body's just like "Jesus fuck what've you done now" and decides any bone over the fucking gaping hole in your skull is good bone.
I was researching a medical condition called Aposthia, which causes a child to be born without foreskin. Decided to see what Reddit had to say about it, and found... this:
So hypothetically, if I made a small incision in his dent and put a straw in it, I could easily sup the sweet, nourishing knowledge from within? Totally hypothetical, of course. lol I'd never do that haha....

It's not like the body can grab whatever bones are close and solder them together regardless of positioning, but it will try its best. Surgeons do try to help keep it in place with screws or using bone cement or holding it with wire stitches while the body is working on it, but who knows what kind of emergency procedure he had to get done in the first place and what the surgeons had left to work with.
One of the ways you can tell trannies are men in every sense of the word is their extreme aversion to wigs.
The nanosecond a women realizes she's balding she heads for the wig shop but men and men pretending to be women would rather look like absolute shit than wear a wig.
If anyone's wondering wtf is actually up with his head beyond "a procedure", it's called a decompressive craniotomy where as a hail mary doctors remove chunks of your skull to relieve pressure from cranial swelling so you don't crush your brain into retardation. Dude's a literal waterhead. I didn't know they just leave it like that, though.
Does that mean he could theoretically get plastic surgery to instead have a nice smooth and round head again? Or would the damage from so many years have just scarred in place and result in a lot of cutting and stitching to do so? I mean, if the second it would kinda make him look like a FNV Lobotomite with all the scars but that could be kinda badass.

I mean, bro literally doesn’t have a choice in how his head is shaped so I feel for him. You can work out and have your skincare on point, but you just can’t change your skeleton especially if you were born with an unfortunate condition.
He may genuinely want to look into other options, weaves or whatever it is they do these days. Poor lad, he did nothing wrong.
It's quite a misogynistic reading of Mulan, frankly. The whole point is that her society pigeonholes people into gender roles, so she has to pretend to be a man to accomplish her mission. It's simply a means to an end. Doesn't saying she actually wanted to be a man basically approve/confirm that society's view of gender roles as correct all along, with the only exception being "people should have the choice of which extremely rigid category they belong to"?
