To be fair, I think a lot of this has to do with how getting a job in corporate America works as well. Your actual skill at your job is almost irrelevant these days. What matters is paper credentials, gaming the resume submission system, knowing important people, schmoozing your boss, and just plain luck. If somebody like Tesla tried to get a job today, some HR Karen would probably get The Ick™ and he'd die in obscurity.

I thought that he is raising his left brow on the first photo, but apparently it's his natural expression. Poor fucking Quasimodo. He is destined to wear beanies until the day he dies.
