Somehow, lay leftists got the software update that literally everyone who disagrees with them is a "bot." You'll see this on boomer-central, Facebook, in particular. This is incoherent, of course - they believe that they're beset on all sides by turbo Nazis and also that everyone agrees with them and any perceived pushback is from like 30 specific White men.

You'll see them literally scream "BOT!" at someone, like they saw a bug, the moment anyone posts anything even innocuously opposed to progressive orthodoxy. I don't know where they got this update. It's like when, overnight, they tried to make "BIPOC" a thing.

The funny thing is that reddit is indeed 90% Bots, but they're pushing points redditors agree with.

Reddit is currently full of post about right-wingers disappearing after Ukraine's attacks on Yandex. Is there an actual evidence for it? All I see circlejerk about it, not any example of it. Also surely Kiwifarms is also just KGB project, so did it had suspiciously less users this week?
TLDR: the "bots" that the original graphic refers to are Yandex search machine crawlers, not political post "bots". Everything else is hysteria.

Redditors believe that they're very smart people, so anyone who disagrees with them is an idiot. Too many idiots is "obviously" a coordinated campaign by Russia to make them angry.

Holy shit, that's incredible. That means all of these commenters, and everyone who upvoted them...

Have misunderstood at a basic, fundamental level what even happened. This is "buying Coca-Cola and thinking they're buying cocaine because they're both called coke" levels of stupid. That is how stupid the average Redditor actually is.

And this isn't even excusable by the general public not knowing what a search indexing bot is. These comments are from the /r/technology subreddit. I'm fucking gobsmacked.

This is by far the funniest chain of comments in that thread to me.

Everyone is just defiantly interjecting a thing that they need everyone else to hear them say in order to start a fight, and everyone is countersignalling their own things that they need everyone else to hear them say in order to start a fight.

It's all with the tone of "this is a normal thing and if you take offense to it you're wrong", which is probably the single purest distillation of the Redditor philosophy, trying to seem inoccuous while ravenously hunting for blood in the water. It's like brinksmanship for being offended.

r/preppers attempts to guide a Cuban citizen through third world communist shithole government collapse by… tailoring their advice to the situation and helping him to the fullest extent possible suggesting libraries, camping stores, and whoring out Cuban women to a shrimping navy. Screenshot heavy so spoiled below.
The post, to start. I cannot highlight enough he states that the country has run out of fuel completely, which was even stated by the Cuban government through a NOTAM at the time. No fuel/food/medicine. Keep this in mind as you read. He even states himself all of the prepping advice is for the first world and he can only dream of some of these things. The situation there is dire, even months ago.

1791820094502.png

First, sorting by top rated comments, we have some sanity, someone living in reality and not a heccin' Marvel movie. But it wasn't long until a response gets removed, likely due to descending into politics about Venezuela vs. Cuba conditions based on it's replies.

1791820230223.png

But then the next highest upvoted comment tells him to... charge his devices, clean his house, and expose his clothes to UV rays known to degrade and wear out fabrics? And in response to this comment, don't forget your local cuban library! Don't forget shoes and a knife and bug repellent, sun screen, and maybe even get a book on knots! The situation is dire but use your local library to learn about knots. Your cuban library, known for survivalist guides and NOT state propaganda.

1791820469485.png

Oh, and don't forget tobacco, in one of the most plentiful tobacco producers in the world. Alcohol always too. Tampons! Condoms! INSANELY useful! Plug your gunshots and bloody nose! Just order them from Amazon, or something. What do you mean you can't?

1791820584761.png

Enlist the shrimping navy to come help you! Whore out your women, they will loooooove the shrimp!

1791820746455.png

Get your camping gear from the local camping stores in Havana!

1791820806588.png

Literally just leave. Can’t believe the OP didn’t think of this.

1791820836004.png

Finally a voice of actual reason that understands the situation. Keep in mind, the shrimping navy post was upvoted higher than this. By the prepping community.

1791820922476.png

Anyways, now that we've had some actual reasonable advice, I wonder if the Cuban poster has considered... his local office store? At least they added some spanish at the end for inclusivity purposes.

And finally, some inevitable Life Straw comments, the holy grail of r/preppers

There's so much more but I had to stop because otherwise this post would never end. Here's your reminder to never ask for prepping advice from Redditors that never leave their apartment.

And as a bonus, here’s a great Kenyan philosopher from the r/Kenya subreddit. This type of posting isn’t out of the norm there from what I’ve seen.

I’ve saved a lot of Reddit insanity over time. I can dump some screenshots of other random subreddits if the r/prepper one was entertaining.

That's exactly how a large part of the preppers are. I've dabbled in their subs a bit out of curiosity, after reading some novels written by, for, and about preppers ( Going Home by A. American for example). The books were not that bad but what struck me is exactly this ⬆️ - they're not bush-crafters or Bear Grylls style survivalist, on the contrary all they talk about is the brands of the products they use, what space age technology fiber it's made out of, which website they bought their canned rations from etc.

In the books the protagonists use all those brand name products to "survive the apocalypse", this type of rope, this brand of knife etc but not a single mention of starting a fire with sticks, finding water in the woods, sleeping outside without a fucking carbon fiber tent with a slolar panel on top.

And of course the home/family "survival" they are ready for is the same way. No raising chickens, gathering in the woods, hinting, stocking wood for the winter no siree. It's all about stocking industrial canned food, solar panels, home alarm systems and the like.

Larpers, the lot of them.

I mean yeah, I wouldn't expect to fund bush-craft or survivalist skills on a prepper sub, it's kind of in the name. The whole point of "prepping" is to prepare supplies ahead of time to hopefully survive semi-comfortably and safely through whatever disaster happens so they don't have to be a "survivalist" living in the brush.

This just hurts to read. At least one guy gave good advice. To their credit though, asking around church missions isn't the worst idea either?

Modern prepping is a hobby lol. These people jerk themselves off to getting to larp as bear griles and embarking on some odyssey across America to some "safe zone" with their bug out bag. I am willing to bet 90% of preppers wouldn't even last a week if shit actually hit the fan lol.

not only that. They are also intentionally misquoting Musk as well. Musk comment on Zelensky was made a few days earlier and was referring to the Ukranian attacks on Russian refineries. You know: the things used to make the stuff everyone is complaining about because it's too pricey? But that does not reinforce reddit echochamber, so they had to misquote him and spread a lie like bots (ironically)

Ironically a lot of accounts complaining about bots seems to be actual bots.

The real humans posting it usually get very flustered when you call them a bot instead with evidence (e. g. suspicious username, screenshots of other accounts posting the exact same thing, or Pangram screenshots, a lot of actual people outsource their thinking/posts these days to either others or gangster computer gods but I digress), actual bots don't usually seem to generate responses to replies (especially if you smuggle in some invisible unicode for their safety filters).

I got called a bot once or twice for simply saying that I like a right wing party, lol. It wasn’t even a generic post or anything, it had my particular sense of writing that baffles everyone who sees it, so yeah, it’s quite literally “everyone who disagrees with me is a clanker!”.

These comments are from the /r/technology subreddit.
Same level of technological wit as someone who puts together a computer from pre-made parts and calls themselves “a technician”. Aka, hump-of-Dunning-Kruger retards.

It's the enemy being both too strong and too weak. A rhetorical device/way of thinking that is claimed to be exclusive to fascists because some Italian novelist claimed it is, but in reality happens among people of all political persuasions.

Arguably they're taking it one step further - 'the enemy is both too strong and not even real'.

Has it occurred to them that bots can post leftist stuff?

🤖 🤔
The denizens of Reddit (and Leftists in general) are of the mindset that presupposes society is constantly shaped/influenced by the elite's war with itself, where people are influenced subconsciously to believe in X-thing to battle against other people who've been subconsciously indoctrinated to believe Y-thing. Such people believe themselves to be apart of a group who believe in Z-thing, who have broken free of such conditioning and are true free thinkers who battle the elites who peddling this indoctrination. They believe their ideas and beliefs are so dangerous to the status quo of the elite class that the elites would never inorganically push or support them sincerely.
