I don't see why, say, Jurassic World is fine and acceptable while, say, The Mummy isn't.
Because big man eating dinosaurs are cooler than short scientologist dinosaurs.

I know it's fun to gossip sometimes, but this particular line is getting old fast.
While it seemed like you were trying your damndest to beat my average wordcount in these stupid posts, you've got a point on this one. As I said above, the whole thing is probably just my paranoia.
I mean its completely possible we'll see on the news that Mike blew his brains out or something without warning and that's just how the whole program ends. But I think Jack is the likeliest to be the failure point here. Could be tomorrow, could be ten years from now. I dunno, but he's dicking with stuff the internet generally considers haram and we know he has the ability to make Best of the Worst self-destruct like the USS Enterprise.
Would he?
....ehhh, probably not. I guess.
Even when I disagree with RLM, I at least get the sense we saw the same movie.
I often get the vibe that while we saw the same movie, they were looking at their phones most of the time, at least during HITB. They made a joke about it in their Suicide Squad video, but it really seems like more and more they miss shit that they really shouldn't have. Jay has been especially awful in this regard.
While I didn't see that movie or it's rlm review, I think the onus is on the film makers to make more coherent movies with a consistent level of plot importance.
For instance the question "why are the characters going over here to do this, why did their goal change" shouldn't be answered with "well if you were paying attention a character from off screen had an adr'd line to cover up a plot hole" Sure if you were into the movie you would catch it, but someone who didn't care could've missed it just brain farting about their grocery list
I touched a nerve, I guess, but it didn't take much effort. Which is pretty amusing to me atm. Not interested in a fight, just stating my point and then contributing to other parts of the conversation. I had a little time after coming home today, what can I say?
Happy New Year! Kiss someone sexy and get drunk with someone cool.
why even bother watching their videos when they themselves can't be arsed to watch stuff they wanna discuss properly?
I think people watch the half in the bags on mainstream shlock mainly for the comedic insight on the industry as a whole, and rlm fans have an idea of what the guys actually care about and what to expect out of different episodes.
ie: a Cats review wouldn't be going over the detailed differences between the play and the movie, it would probibly focus on the shit show of the production and the general movie going experience of watching people jeer and cheer at the weird sexualized parts.
I'm sure there ARE rlm Fantano Fags who take EVERYTHING seriously and mold their opinions off of unresearched off the cuff personality driven internet reviews. But I think a generous chunk of rlm viewers arn't there for the opinions but just as fellow voyeuristic movie industry nihilists.

Did some additional browsing of the RLM sub and found that someone mentioned that they made a comment on Patreon that hints to no more Fuck You It's January videos. Because they don't think that studio dumping in January is a thing anymore. But I thought they hadn't done one in a while anyway?
I'm also hoping a Cats review is in the cards.
