That's him. That illustration he did of the teddy bear airbag hugging the decapitated toddler is hilarious.
... what the fuck did I just say.

I like how they make fun of geek culture yet they applaud movies for basically thisUh oh:
Seems like Jay liked it not unless this is part of some kind of trolling project of theirs.
I'm going to call it: if they genuinely liked it or thought it was "pretty good and the popcorn munching audience just wants more of the same" they are 100% being contrarian to spite people.

"IT TOOK RISKS!"Basically this:

Not unless this is some 4D chess game and Jay wanted to farm flaming comments I genuinely can't understand why he liked it other than just being contrarian.
I think they'll just blame the audience like Alien Covenant (which I liked). I legit did not understand why Covenant was hated so much and their main argument was the the popcorn munching audience demanded the Alien come back and there's no other stories to tell (wrong) and that's why the movie is bad"IT TOOK RISKS!"
Literally just that probably or a pretentious rant about how it's about the characters even though the casts consists of idiots and Incel man

"Well, everyone wanted Myers back and here you go fuckers!"
"Bold experimental schlock! I liked it Jay!"
"Yeah, compared to those Rob Zombie movies it was something different and I liked that!"
"AAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDSSSSSS!"
But I thought they were my internet best friends. It's a lot easier to enjoy Red Letter Media when you just accept that they have absolute shit takes every now and then and are occasionally a wee bit full of themselves.
They seem to take it as a personal offense that people think Indy Horror movies are bland as fuck. It's a lot easier to enjoy Red Letter Media when you just accept that they have absolute shit takes every now and then and are occasionally a wee bit full of themselves.
It's become a lot more often than "now and then" as of late, it feels. It's a lot easier to enjoy Red Letter Media when you just accept that they have absolute shit takes every now and then and are occasionally a wee bit full of themselves.
The problem is that half the time, they don't even like it, they just sort of shrug their shoulders and go "eh, it's not that bad and I liked this thing in it so it's okay, it's on streaming so might as well check it out!"Are people mad again cause the fat shmucks liked a mediocre movie?
Yeah I won't be surprised for Halloween Ends they'll mock the comments and talk about how horror fans want the same thing. The problem is that half the time, they don't even like it, they just sort of shrug their shoulders and go "eh, it's not that bad and I liked this thing in it so it's okay, it's on streaming so might as well check it out!"
People have said it for a while, but streaming has completely ruined them because they just accept any slop now as being acceptable because the barrier to entry is so low. On top of that they seem more concerned with the reviews/comments around these movies than the actual movies themselves.
It makes for super boring content. They used to either really shit on some overproduced cinematic garbage in a funny way or get really into something, usually something older in the early days and more independant/less known in the modern era.
Now it's basically like "Oh, is this thing hated? Is it on streaming? They're going to talk about how it's good enough and probably comment on the comments."
Hope I'm wrong with this but we'll see when it releases.
