Maybe they just took the initial idea and got ugly about it. Throwing shit on old characters might not have started in comic books, but it seems to have become prevalent there way before it did in movies and television.
Seeing the panels posted I realize the onslaught story was actually making reference to that moment.

The Fandom Menace and other anti-shills are such screeching faggots and grifters that my inclination is to side with RLM; but the stuff the Nerdrotics of the world are upset about (and making money off of, which is why I detest them) really are a problem, and indicative of the cultural rot the entertainment world has embraced, so the concentrated neutrality really makes RLM seem out of touch.
All they need at RLM is one Nerd Crew episode that just brutally rips on the grifter types and then just let it sit there without ever mentioning it again. Then go back to normal programming and not even acknowledge the screeching maniacs and loudmouthed faggots that pollute pop culture discourse.

The problem is that Nerd Crew was designed to be like the shills, not the grifters, so it would come off weird.

On top of just looking like more sour grapes. They honestly just need to drop it.

I would want it for the possibility of seeing one of them do a cringeworthy scottish accent. Hard cut to Tyrion vomiting

I don't see how you can parody Fandom Menace talking points in a way that dismisses them.

"Hollywood's run by commies!"

Well, James Woods had to hide his affiliation with Oppenheimer because of his politics. Gina Carano was fired for having milquetoast opinions on Twitter. Hollywood definitely has a Left-wing bias.

"Star Wars is fake and gay now!"

Lesley Headland is the showrunner AND is massively incompetent. Before her is the Sequel Trilogy, which is objectively incompetent.* "Somehow, Palpatine returned" summarizes everything wrong with the Sequels.

"Diversity is bad and wrong!"

Ghostbuster 2016 is weaponized DEI on screen. Ivan Reitman's done his best to rehabilitate that IP, but the stink of 2016 lingers on. Any show that has weaponized DEI to berate fans always gets massive hate beyond the mediocrity it otherwise would have warranted.

"Chuds! Don't watch strong, independent women!"

People are rightfully sick of that trope. Even actresses because America's strong independent women aren't characters.

*We might owe Rian Johnson thanks, actually. His movie was so shockingly bad that it woke normies out of the corporate DEI-ification of the Sequel Trilogy. If JJ had his full way, it would have been Impossible Burger replications of the OT instead of actual stories. I don't think it excuses his bad movie though.

The talking points are fine. Continuing to make money off these woke, compromised, dogshit-quality franchises by never shutting the fuck up about them and posting daily ragebait videos instead of, I dunno, using their influence to highlight lesser known creators (there is a huge movement of indie authors and artists who are not just "not woke" but positively right wing) is hypocrisy of the highest degree. I don't begrudge these guys making a living off it, but let's stop pretending they're doing a lick of good in getting gigantic corps like Disney and Amazon from backing off their agendas a jot or a tittle.

It's why I have more respect for Raz0rfist and Critical Drinker than I do Nerdrotic or especially utter bullshit artists like Doomcock. Razor and Drinker are at least producing new things -- Drinker is a novelist, and Razor is doing pretty damn good indie comics ... oh, and trying to raise awareness of European comics that are both high quality and avoid dumbass American identity politics. The Fandom Menace isn't wrong about Disney and the other soulless entities burning down the culture, but they're also part of the problem.

RLM Care bears animated.

Film threat outright hosts indie movie events, awards, and interviews directors.

Of course you can hop on those channels and see how many views promotional vids get vs negative vids too...

I didn't mention Film Threat for a reason. Those are good guys, even if they're not my particular cup of tea.

Out of fairness, I should probably mention Shad Brooks, but Shadow of the Conqueror is one of the worst pieces of shit I've ever read.

I fail to understand how they're part of the problem.

They contribute nothing other than to advertise for Disney and other trash, just from a hatewatching perspective. Yeah, The Acolyte sucks. You need to do a blow by blow for every episode? Yeah, Rings of Power pisses on Tolkien's grave. Is this episode going to be EVEN WORSE than the last one? The suspense is killing me!

This narrative that the detractor channels are only helping Disney, and that if they just stopped giving the shows attention they'd get canned for poor ratings, is utter nonsense.
Firstly, despite the large amount of viewers watching these detractor channels, they are insignificant in the grand scheme of things. If normies are watching slop there is literally nothing they or anyone else can do to effect ratings.
Secondly, I'd posit that a large portion of their viewers don't even watch the slop. Myself, I haven't watched a single piece of Disney content since TFA, but I do enjoy watching these detractor channels make fun of the latest fecal matter.
Is it repetitive? Sure, but so is everything else. Enjoy what you enjoy, stop caring about what everyone else is doing.

They've perpetuated the gay hate watching trend.

There is no evidence that hate watchers or Youtubers are driving viewers to this crap. Acolyte in particular is one of the least watched Star Wars shows. Only thing with lower ratings was Andor which the Fandom Menace loved for the most part.

As already mentioned, their actual impact on vieweship is neglible at best.

In fact, media shills are now blaming them for the terrible numbers.

If you think they suck and don't contribute anything of value, fair enough. But you can't then also put them on the level of influence as the mega corps that produce this slop. RLM has unironically had more influence than them on Star Wars.
