I know this thread is old and dead, Red Dead if you will, but I just wanted to come here and say that Sadie Adler is the worst character in RDR2.
And I respectfully disagree with your opinion.

The worst character is Susan Grimshaw.

I will open a dialogue and say they both are terrible. Susan is such a forgettable character that the game forced you to give a shit about, and Sadie just goes from deadweight to "Super wonderwoman that does everything, especially when you aren't there doing bitchwork sidequests".
But Susan is pretty shit, I will agree.

See, Susan pisses me off more because she's just a bitch who goes around yelling at everyone just because she's a bitter old spinster who hates that she's not pretty anymore. Sadie's character development might've been rushed, but at least she had an actually justifiable reason to be so angry all the time.

Probably late to the party, but holy shit RDR2 is dogshit on PC.

Fucking can't even get through the the Addler ranch burning down without getting some stupid GFX State error. None of their stupid work arounds have done anything. Ugh

I feel you bro, I have a pretty good PC and damn near every time a gunfight starts, my game turns to a picture show for those first 5 desperate seconds of a battle for the gun smoke and particle effects on bullet impact.

This is why you play on console.

No, but seriously, I know how you guys feel, and it's only going to get worse.

Like I said before, one of my biggest gripes with this game is how hard it is to see sometimes. Even with everything running correctly, sometimes there's so much fog, smog, mist, snow, dust, rain, or blinding sunlight that I can't see where I'm going. Trying to imagine how utterly awful this'll be on PC where it sounds like the game can barely play as it is sounds horrible.

The game is absolutely beautiful on PC, even more so than it was on my Xbox One X. Also it runs silky smooth when it decides not to crash.

Of course, when it crashes within 10 minutes all the time beauty doesn't really matter. I ended up re-installing it and while those 4 hours were going on (ugh) I read someone say they were able to get this crash to stop happening if they just ran the benchmark any time they changed graphical settings.

Sure enough, that worked (or the re install I guess, who knows?) and for the moment at least it's fine. I'm not holding my breath for it to not start fucking up once I'm out of Colter though.

Off-topic, but does anyone else think the in-game horse stats are wrong?

It might just be me, but some horses go way faster than the game says they should, and vice-versa. Missouri Foxtrotters don't seem as fast as the game says they are, and Shires and other heavy horses that are supposed to be slow seem to go faster than they should.

I'm using tack that boosts their stats and I have gotten the upgrades you get from winning random horse races, but the horse stats still feel off. Thoughts?

If you're talking online, they gimp them so no one gets outmatched. I have no idea why.

If you're talking single player then I dunno, the Arabian was always the fastest fucking horse to me. Although someone mentioned awhile back in the Reddit they may have fucked with the horse stats so that they're randomized in some areas, so there's a threshold minimum and maximum they can't break and you're rolling the dice to see how far to which end you're on. They also did random checks on horses and their temperaments being random.

Just for reference, I'm talking about single-player.

The Arabians have always been the fastest to me, too. Even though it annoys me to say it, they are the best horses in the game. They're the fastest, have the most stamina, and have the best handling. To counteract this, they're supposed to be skittish, but if what you and others are saying is true, it would explain why my Black Arabian has never thrown me when getting ambushed by predators, but my Bay Turkoman, which is labeled as a being part War Horse, and by default is supposed to be brave, has.

About Susan, the idea of an iron-minded, no-nonsense mother figure isn't a bad thing. She could be nurturing at one point, while coldly dealing with BS on the other. The problem is that she's more of a bitter hag who just yells at everyone.

When it comes to the horses, I get the whole RPG element upgrade to the equines, but compared to the RDR1 horses, its like Rockstar spiked their food or something. It reminded me of how good the horses in TES Oblivion were compared to the thorizine spiked lardasses they were in Skyrim.

I speculated in my prior post that some of the dead bodies you can find this game are just easter eggs, and it turns out at least one of them is. The dead Siamese twins you can find in the crashed circus wagons are just a reference to the Siamese twins found in Rockstar's other game, Bully.

I started playing the other day cause it’s free on Game Pass. Wasn’t a huge fan of 1. I liked the parts I played, but the game is too damn long, and just wore me down right around the end of Mexico.

I really like 2 a lot so far, but I‘m getting really frustrated about getting crimes for things that feel like they’re not my fault - did that mission where you loot Colm O’whatever’s cabin. I walk outside, quest finishes, walk back in, pick something else up, and get a $15 bounty for stealing - alone, in a empty cabin, that was free loot 30 seconds ago. Then I go into town, break up a fist fight, beat the guy up, and through force of habit, I hit the Loot button - crime! 3 mins later, coming out of the saloon, I try to get on my horse but due to clipping I accidentally get on the horse near mine... CRIME!!!
and that was where I stopped. The immersion is really neat, but this stuff is breaking it hard.

Just want to let you guys know that Red Dead Revolver is on sale for the original XBOX for just $13 dollars (at least the last time I checked) . However, the PS2 version is still somewhat expensive. Not sure why, but the first Red Dead still looks like it’s aged well.

I just hate the fucking bugged online missions. Between moonshine deliveries there are different missions that reduce mash prices. Once I got strong moonshine, I gave up on those missions. Also Online seems much more dead than the RDR2. And you cannot rob shops or banks. Maybe it'll change, but there seems to be zilch happening.

I gave up on RD Online three weeks in. Seemed obvious they had no idea what they were doing and everything I've heard points to it only getting worse the past year and a half.
