she also has a kid that is old enough to access her suicide note on the internet whenever he wants to, and is unlikely to find "people bullied me on twitter" to be a compelling reason for threatening to abandon him permanently.

After everything she has already done to this kid, I'm ready to believe he'd be relieved if she was no longer around to talk about his issues online. Lest we forget, among other things, she outed him on Twitter, posted a video of herself outside the bathroom laughing while he sang in the shower, and as recently as last week wrote about his multiple suicide attempts on her substack (the most recent article now that her suicide note has been deleted).

STATEMENT FROM REBEKAH JONES:

Thank you for the warmth and love you all have shown me and my family this past week.

My journey as a whistleblower has been a grueling public affair for nearly four years. Through the many highs and lows, you all have been an unwavering source of support.

Everyone has a breaking point, and I reached mine last week. Since walking back from that ledge, I’ve been unplugged from all technology.

In being unreachable, I added undue stress and concern on the communities and people who care about me, and for that I deeply apologize.

I’m continuing my break from social media this week while I spend time with my family, and will re-evaluate my relationship with these sites after that time.

I’m young. I still have stories to tell, people to help, and fascists to piss off. Given some time, I’d love to keep pissing them off together with all of you. Whether that’s here or through another medium, I’m not done fighting yet.

I'm not on threads. How is their blocking different from any other outlet's blocking? Apart from the fact that hardly anybody uses threads so there are probably a lot fewer of her "haters" there to block, in what way is their blocking somehow better?

She better hope she doesn't end up on Trump's radar. I can't imagine an easier defamation case than to deliberately try to fuck up someone's reputation.

So many ordinary defamation cases come down to quibbling about whether someone reasonably believed or could've believed or was reckless blah blah blah, but she's out here deliberately trying to spread claims as fact that she knows are false to defame a presidential candidate.

Sounds like a softball pitch case to me.

Getting Trump to pay a modicum of attention to her is her wet dream. Why would anyone bother drawing attention to what this crazy bitch says online?
