A lesbian acquaintance told me that lezzies like this would date trans women in theory only. Troons like to tell lesbians that there are 100% passing transbians and they would never notice.
In reality tho they would never ever touch a troon with a ten foot pole and passing transbians don't or rarely exist (even then they would notice the male stink ditch). But since they want to be woke they claim to be open to dating these men.

I know IRL a self-described lesbian who dated a VERY non-passing transbian (as in, visible facial hair in every FB photo) for a while, and they've since broken up, but she's kinda weird--she's getting top surgery/goes by a gender neutral nickname not related to her actual name/uses they/them pronouns--while still calling herself a lesbian, so...idk.

I saw this shit earlier and it's hilarious. Some blog made an "AU" gifset so some transtrender could pretend she was dating Tom Holland, and never once thought "oh I should put some disclaimer on this so people don't think it's real". And now literally tens of thousands of people were A ) fooled to believe that Tom Holland was dating some fangirl on the internet, and B ) forcibly made aware of the existence of AU self-shipping celebrity blogs.

Tumblr celebrity blogs ( or anywhere else for the matter) are honest-to-god disgusting and gross. I know that this isn't limited to Tumblr, but I see it a lot there. How these people are so delusional to try and inject their fetishes onto a celebrity is just awful.

Tumblr has this weird Transman vs. transwoman mentality. I find it odd they treat transwoman as the pinnacle of oppression, but then they tell transmen to check their privilege. It's so odd. I've seen more posts talking about transman being scum than tranwoman. I don't know if it's just another fetish or what.

My theory is that it's at least in part a covert transtrender vs. truscum thing. Tumblr has a long trend of romanticizing femininity, so anyone legitimately committed to becoming masculine is much less likely to be doing so for social approval. The frequency of those posts goes up and down, though, depending on whether it's currently fashionable for androgynous women to call themselves "nonbinary" or "trans boys".
Another part of it would be that relatively few trans women use Tumblr, so a lot of people seem to think of them on romanticized terms rather than figuring out that they can be as shitty as anyone else.

I'd say there's also the jealousy of MTFs at the FTMs being able to get lesbian sex. It seems like a number of them were butch lesbians first, and wasn't there a survey and it showed FTMs were more likely to find a girl who's open to having a relationship compared to MTFs.

Trans men really lose when it comes to gender politics. They barely have social media platform where their voice can be heard. Tumblr is a no boys allowed club, and reddit is a sausage party. Trans men though don't really make a big deal about being trans. It helps that they pass better visually and can successfully stealth online.
