Trans men really do pass better. The guy I know has had work done for a few years and looks like a man now. The women- not so much.
 
What really bothers me is that Tumblr presumes trans men have male privilege so they can no longer speak on any issues.

When trans dudes pass, they can get away with more, yes. But that doesn't mean that they get all the benefits a regular cis guy gets. Doctors visits are nightmares (especially in backwards states), you have very few legal rights, god forbid you have to go in a changing room without partitions, and the gay scene for men can actually become violent if you're found out to be trans.

If a trans man enters a discussion on tumbles without saying IM TRANS AND IM GAY right off the bat, then he will be immediately shot down as "ew a man in our conversation ew" when ... it's simply not necessary to begin all your opinions with that preface.

In my opinion, part of the reason tumblr dot com hates straight trans men is because they already don't know how to deal with and are made uncomfortable by extremely butch lesbians. But there's been a backlash against that kinda like, saying 'men and masculine people oppress women' type of thing, and other lesbians will defend them, whereas gay trans men don't seem to defend straight trans men.

Do you really think weebs and shitty anime can normalize anything?

Plus mainstream live action shows and movies that have those things have a higher change of ""normalize incest and underage"" cause mainstream don't take animation in general seriously.

If animation was really that influential, everyone would be a pedo by now. I get a kick out of people that sperg out over drawings.

Anime studios will put out what's profitable. The reason they've been in a rut is that appealing to pedos and sex weirdos is profitable. If it stopped being profitable, if otaku stopped buying loli shit, studios wouldn't cater to that audience.

There are plenty of series that don't cater to lolicons at all, and if you want to see more shows like those, then support them financially. Be the change you want to see and vote with your wallet. It's small, but it's more effective than whining on Tumblr Dot Com about how the industry needs to change and then... doing absolutely nothing else.

It's a fucking business.

You're 100% correct but these are the same people that RRREEE for change in every industry but then don't buy the comics, don't go to the theater to watch to movies, don't buy and play the vidya, and certainly aren't going to support any manga or anime studio directly. With all the bad stereotypes around weebs and otaku they certainly do spend fat stacks of cash on what they love and aren't afraid of driving to the Asian district of their towns to physically obtain that sweet ~ kawaii uguu~ they crave.
 
Re: Being a trans man on Tumblr, it's very much a "men are icky and women are the best" sort of thing, even when it comes to trans men speaking about their own issues. If a trans woman says something about trans men, it's taken at face value from an "expert", even though they're not a trans man (and should not be speaking about the experiences of trans men). It's weird. There's just a very universal hatred of trans men from the LGBT community (especially the straight ones, probably because they're not lesbians).

It's so much easier to tell people you're not a trans man specifically if you are one on Tumblr.

It's just typical they throw a bitch fit over something they don't like and damn know they can't stop anyone or any anime studios from drawing and animating it.

I think it's already kind of happening with incest and GoT, cause since GoT became popular, I've started seeing people talk incest in lots of places. Gross.
