Haha ok. I guess the argument was better in my head. I just think it's received some sort of weird notoriety beyond what most people thought it would.
Oh, no doubt. Sonichu is much better-known than anything like ought to be. It's just that that notoriety hasn't resulted in anything that Chris today considers beneficial.

Ah, but he doesn't. He doesn't focus on sonichu at all nowadays. I mean, maybe it might come up, but it's a lot less important than you might think it is. Not having what he wants (a fuck mommy) is what renders his life meaningless.

[...]Unless Chris' life stops being so shitty, I think he has bigger things to worry about. And I'm not that confident that that'll happen anytime soon.

He's barely focusing on Sonichu at all now in the sense that he doesn't work on the comics or try to promote himself through the comics or wear the medallion, but do you think he still identifies himself with his Sonichu shit anymore? Even if he only does it in his own mind? There's still a Sonichu and Rosechu attending his Lego high school, his Facebook had a Sonichu background until pretty recently, and he's made a couple of remarks here and there suggesting he's still "in contact" with the characters.

Maybe he's still engaged with them mentally, like a security blanket, but he's finally learned enough not to talk about his imaginary friends in public.

Oh, not even in his own mind. Again, he's got bigger things to think about, like how miserable he is. It's Chris' hierarchy of autistic needs.

First, Chris will focus on physical needs, like not starving to death or making sure he has a roof over his head. After basic necessities, he sits around being Barb's servant, being depressed, because he thinks that if he had his fuck-mommy, he wouldn't need to do any of that bullshit for Barb. Fuck-mommy would be doing all the housework. Only when things are happier for him, would he have the free time to think about sonichu.

Oh, and actually, Alec and I were specifically talking about the sonichu at MHS earlier today. Back when Chris first made MHS, he was more comfortable. If he made it now, while there's a chance Chris might include it, he'd just include it because it's an emblem of himself (like his heterochromia). He wouldn't muse on it or anything. Like, pretty much, if Chris made MHS today, flip a coin, and he won't include sonichu.

Good. That bizarre-looking abomination does not belong anywhere near high school children.
It's okay. No high school would let Chris inside anyway.

Thinking back to middle-late last year, when Chris was really pining for his high school days... Why didn't he ever attempt to go back to his school for a visit? He has a functioning car and it's not super far away. If he would make endless efforts to return to the Game Place, why not MHS?

Pssh, THEY should be reaching out to HIM. Standard Chris M.O.

Apologies, when I was writing the post, I meant it as Barb's hoard played a hand in his death by exacerbating his already poor health. That was just kind of my knee jerk reaction because it's hard for me to not to get so angry at Barb knowing what she has done. I hade written a bit about Bob and how he was more relatable, but I deleted it thinking that I was going off a tangent.

Bob, for all his faults, did seem like he was trying to help Chris in his childhood. Perhaps it was a subconscious desire to compensate for neglecting Chris during his infancy and early childhood. He did try to stick up for Chris, even if his understanding of the events were based on Chris's incomplete/skewed accounts. At the very least, his approach didn't involve trying to run over whoever wronged Chris with his car. Bob even expressed alarm when trolls lead him to believe that his son was trying to commit suicide. Whereas if Chris's accounts are anything to go by, Barb would threaten to kill Chris when he became a tomgirl (Ok, Bob probably didn't like that either, but still). Bob didn't have to stay with Barb and Chris, he could've left them like he did with Patricia, David, and Carol. The fact that he devoted the end of his life to caring for someone as selfish as Chris and living with a woman like Barb speaks volumes about our favorite lumberjack. Bob's delusions I think can be attributed more to his old age as opposed to Barb, who we know has a history of being a terrible person.
Bob was racist, homophobic, and bigoted. And yet, he's still the most likable and sane of the family. I just feel sorry for the guy. He married a selfish bitch of a wife who squeezed out a clingy and screwed up child who Bob had to raise. And yet, Bob seemed to genuinely care for Chris (well, most of the time). And he spends the end of his life in a crap filled house trying to raise his fuckup of a son. I don't really think he deserved that. Poor guy...

What could he get from MHS now?

You aren't saying even Chris will kill Sonichu? It's only been a year or so since he was still speaking to his 'Chus… He was speaking with Megagi and Sonichu.

Maybe with the house fires and other important crap going on though, could Chris finally be losing his childish interests?

I don't think he could have gotten anything. He would have gone and realized no one knew him there anymore and he would have cursed the place.
Misphrased that. Obviously he couldn't get anything there. Rather, I should've said: what would he think he could get there?

Bob was racist

Source? He made a single comment once about the colour of the White House, a perfectly innocent example of an old man's random excess humor. He mentioned the KKK interacting with some weens trying to get them to leave him alone already. None of this makes him racist. In fact I could make a convincing case for him being a lot more open-minded on certain things then plenty of people born in the 1920s.

homophobic

Again, source? He called Chris a fag when he started dressing like a transvestite hooker on crack. If my son did that I'd call him a fag too, because dressing like a transvestite hooker on crack is a rather faggy to do.

Nah, not buying it. Bob being homophobic, racist and bigoted are accusations that have been thrown around for years now and I have yet to see a single piece of convincing evidence for it. It's no more then speculation with the only evidence being "he's old and from the South".

And yet, he's still the most likable and sane of the family. I just feel sorry for the guy.

I'm kinda torn between Bob and Patti here. :ween:

bob was gay

What does he think he can get with lego schools and reunions no one wants to plan?

Exactly, the CWCki article on Bob tries to make it sound like he explicitly said that he was a member of the KKK, alluding to a "great Klan rally in the sky" and even has a badly edited photo of Bob in Klansmen attire, complete with a caption featuring the quote that started this rumor. I think we should probably edit that bit out, since I know the CWCki seems to be more for facts about Chris while making a few jabs, but that bit is kinda ween-ish.

...He called Chris a fag when he started dressing like a transvestite hooker on crack. If my son did that I'd call him a fag too, because dressing like a transvestite hooker on crack is a rather faggy to do.
Exactly, Bob only said that to his son. It seems more like criticizing your son for doing something incredibly stupid, or at least something we know is stupid given Chris's reasoning behind the "Tomgirl" lifestyle. As far as we know, it's not like Bob threatened Chris's life in a fit of rage to get him to cut his hair like Barb. Even when Bob referred to other kids in cahoots with Mike and Megan in the Matthew Noble call, he only said he thought they might be gay. And knowing how Chris thinks all trolls are gay, Bob may have just been taking Chris's word for it, since he wasn't there and wouldn't know all the facts.

Exactly, while there are some old people who live in the South who are those things, in actuality, Bob doesn't seem to have given us much reason to believe that he is either homophobic, bigoted, or racist. It's like the spooning thing with Barb when you think about it. Because it's the Chandlers who are involved, it is easier to jump to the worst possible conclusions despite a lack of information. One of the reasons why I stated "For all his faults..." was partly because on some level I knew someone would toss those accusations at Bob. In all honesty, Bob has certain qualities that remind me a little bit of my own father that I can respect. Do I think Bob is perfect? No. Is there at least some of my disdain for Barb talking? Sure, perhaps a little more than I may be letting on. But this is just an opinion, and people are not obligated to agree with it.

My dad's old and he's from the South - Mississippi, in fact. He's incredibly open-minded and accepts my being bisexual more than my raised-in-the-North mother does.

Anyway, I found this quote from the Jackie emails:

"[Bob's] abilities have slowed down over the years, and he was 53 upon my conception, so he was a Seinor ALL of my life. I did not have much of a father figure to look up to, as he was fading on and on and still truckin' with his Cherokee blood."

what does this even mean

What does he think he can get with lego schools and reunions no one wants to plan?

He is aware that he is missing his high school days and his high school friends, and not the 2014 version of the high school. He sees a reunion as a way of reuniting himself with all of his friends. Somewhat logical so far.

The lego school is built for similar, but weirder, reasons. He wants to go to a place that no longer exists, Manchester High in 1999. Since it doesn't exist, he builds it. I think he also thought some of the gal-pals would see the video and say "Golly, that nice boy I knew in high school is sure good at Legos. Gee whiz, I should find him and give him china."

Plus he just likes making shit with lego.
