They always say real communism has never been tried, which is true in a way. The ultimate aim of communism is that the dictatorship dissolves to form the utopian society. This never happens, for obvious reasons, but they keep insisting that it will this time.

Going back to my previous post, calling the 1978 invasion of Cambodia imperialism is a low blow. The Khmer Rouge had slaughtered over 3000 Vietnamese civilians at Ba Chuc just before the invasion. Although you're only holding them to the same standards as people who think the US fighting al Qaida after September 11 was imperialism.

They are divided. Some say it isn't real communism, which it isn't, and some claim that all the atrocity stories are made up, following the Holocaust denial approach. The Juche ideology of North Korea isn't communist even in name, being more a cult of personality around the Kim dynasty.

LSC is an odd concept for a subreddit. You would think that a group of people dedicated to destroying capitalism wouldn't congregate on a for-profit, US-based and US-owned site deriving its income advertising, promoted content and surveillance/analytics, but, they do. I would suggest that 8chan is a truer platform of the people, and accordingly they should move there; after all, no scheming corporations could suppress them there, could they? However, LSC isn't so much about criticism of capitalism as it is about redditors being ADF-lite. This brand of "reddit communism" is inextricably tied to general social justice shenanigans. It has less to do with economic theory, and more to do with appearing socially just and cool before your reddit peers.

look, Westerners are optimistic. it's a failing in their nature. they have the feeling that we all can get along (someday), that people will help each other (even many libertarians believe this shit) without being forced, that somehow we can all work together... it's that happy dippy nwo enlightened shit. it's not even a liberal/left thing, the right wing version is Christian charities and shit.

the Western commie has just given over logic to optimistic cultural zeitgeist. that's all.

I'm pretty all right with unions, socialism mixed with capitalism, helping the poor and handing out tardbux to keep our cows going. along with all the deserving people. but mostly I don't want to be up against the wall. we have to make sure people have their bread (circus is a given).

take that feeling and amplify it through the eyes of someone born into privilege financially, like most of the western trust fund kid commies. that's why they want to try it out. they really don't think they'll be a target. they've been told they're not that rich or privileged and they are shocked to find out that they are.
 
My greatest surprise with these reddit SJW leftists is that none of them truly appreciate how useful the United States military would be in achieving their goals. For all of their talk of US imperialism, ableisms (seriously, they'll ban you for using the word "stupid"), and hatred of strong states, the only way that a world wide socialist order could ever emerge is if the US military and police were co-opted over time by hardcore dogmatic leftists and overthrew the government in a coup and began conquering the rest of the western hemisphere.

Honestly, these guys might not even be communists at all. We're probably looking at the result of the "new left" that formed in the 1960's out of the Vietnam anti-war movement and general hippie antics. To take the point further, I know a PKK, a anti-state Kurdish communalist militia, member (a practicing Sunni if I recall properly) who has openly advocated hanging gay people for being deviants. Can anyone imagine how our internet communists would react to such a social conservative? They'd blow a fuse trying to figure out whether to ban him for wishing death upon homosexuals or praise him for fighting the Turkish government and ISIS.

I also have to wonder where these idiots believe that they'll be doing in a socialist government. Are they really all highly valuable workers like engineers and doctors who will likely be spared in a revolution purely out of practical necessary? How many Communication majors does a socialist state really need? (the correct answer is zero for those wondering)
No, as others have already said in this thread, they'll be the first to go to the wall. If for no other reason than because they wouldn't shut up about mass executions or simply take the bribe when it's offered to them.

Personally, when I look at r/latestagecapitalism, I see a bunch of sad depressed individuals who don't have the common sense to band together, form a political party, and campaign for what they want within the system that already exists. For all of the flaws of the United States, you can always start a grassroots movement and use (possibly illegal) methods to ensure your election to various government offices. Or maybe that's the real issue, none of these people want to put in the effort to create the world that they so desire. They're just lazy buffoons who got dealt a bad(?) hand in life and don't want to take the necessary steps to correct it.

Most of these scumbags are edgelord tankies who are all for mass executions, and are just so fucking dumb they don't realize they'd be the first against the wall themselves just for being utterly useless.

It's always the same with these groups. They think they'll be the high ranking government officials when the revolution is over. They'll really be thrown in a work camp and executed after not meeting quotas.
 
Having never lived under true oppression, they have no idea what it's like.

I don't fault them for thinking that something trivial like banking regulations or getting pulled over for a traffic violation are acts of brutality, or organized oppression of the lower class or whatever....

Where they lose me is stridently refusing to re-evaluate where they stand when it's explained to them why it's not.

Regarding the bolded, that's Cultural Marxism they're practicing. It replaces the bourgeoisie with white, cis, straight men and often anyone who fits at least one of those categories (regardless of class) against the proletariat that consists of minorities and/or women. It's why you see them reeeeeeeeeeing about people not wanting to date troons but either outright despising or feeling indifferent to the problems faced by rural, working-class white Americans.
