I've seen people talking about Mother Bus on fundiesnark, but I had no idea she just gave birth in the bus and potentially spudified the kid. Would not be surprised at all if the kid has brain damage or something.

Dragging him out in the sun with no sun protection too, wtf. Kid looks and probably is miserable.

The other kids look pretty done with everything as well.

Assuming there's something wrong with the baby, I wonder how long it will take Mother Bus to realize?
Every single time the SBC has a convention, it's a new headline and a new batch of craziness. I swear that the convention brings something out in them.
I'm not sure if it's the SBC specifically but I hear there's a Baptist convention that happens every year in downtown Atlanta and it's the one week all the local strip clubs won't let anyone take off since its the busiest week of the year for them.

Medfaggots? What do you think, Erb’s Palsy?
Potentially yes.

My background wasn't in Pediatrics but Peds Nurses (especially NICU ones) love to talk about what they do.

She didn't go to Hospital to give birth. I'm not sure if there were any complications with her Labour but Erbs Palsy is caused by a problematic labour, with the infants head and neck being pulled to the side when the shoulders are coming along the vagina in birth.

The awful thing is, IIRC, nerve grafting is one of the treatments, but this is done before 9 months post birth, as it works well if done in that time frame.

Really, really sad to see something preventable like this, allfor the want of a smelly fecking hippy.

1 more vote for Erb’s palsy.
It pisses me off to see parents hurting their kids for some specious, ill defined, non theological reason when any half decent theologian would say preserving human life is more important than anything else.
This woman has no fruits of the spirit.

Mother Bus will probably be pregnant again by September anyway, this time is just a mulligan for people like her
These people are like hoarders who buy nice things then let them rot, covered in a layer of pet shit. It’s such a shame to have the gift of a healthy baby and not be able to enjoy it or keep yourself from fucking it all up because you have a serious mental illness and/or Cluster B personality disorder.

Lol, thought this very appropriate with Mother Bus. Screenshot_20240619_212816_Chrome.jpg

Mother Bus's own audience is pushing for her to take the new baby to the doctor-- I'm sure there are plenty of people with children of their own watching her content, and they realize that the baby seems off and also holds his hand oddly. She's also extremely aware of Reddit and, like so many cows, spends too much time reading about herself and clapping back. In that vein, she posted this today:

The original plan was for her to give birth in an AirBnB (not for the first time, believe it or not) with a midwife. And you'd think she'd realize by this point that the babies start coming faster and faster.

There's also this picture of one of the parent-siblings squashing the baby at the bus window:

And yes, it is a semi-janky bus, not a fancy(ish) RV like the Rods have. There are eight children plus two (nominal) adults living in that thing full-time.

Mother Bus often jokes about Bus sex and just posted a reel of her kids pretending to be horrified by the "date night" prospect. The poor oldest kid looks too jaded/PTSD-ridden to react:

Here's the reel where Bus Dad-- who's a bitcoin bro, if there was any doubt-- describes the "pushing" and "pulling" of the birth:

The specific choice to use "pulling" leads credence to the Erb's Palsy theory. Hopefully the kid will eventually start responding to sights and sounds, but he doesn't do much of that yet-- which is certainly concerning.

There are a few videos on Reddit where users who’ve been following the baby say he’s more alert and responsive, so that’s good.

I hate to even think this, but I hope none of the sons have Josh Duggar-type tendencies. Sadly always a possibility with fundies and a bus would be particularly unsafe for the younger kids in that situation.

Never ever pull a baby from the birth canal. The baby needs an assessment from someone who specializes in neonates, and that guy needs to hear the full birth story.

Yeah the baby definitely needs to be looked at by an actual doctor ASAP. But I doubt it will happen. Mother Bus definitely sounds like she's on that Globyn bullshit.

Speaking of fundies medically neglecting their babies, is Karissa Collins still pregnant, or are there any notable updates with her?

Still crazy as a bedbug and pregnant again. She just published a """book.""" She describes it as covering "controversial topics," and I shudder to think what in the everloving child abuse she means by that. She also has an "album" of some sort. I'm apparently basically saying that she's pregnant and very manic, though that's not what I meant to say. She's still as mentally ill as ever, though.

The baby's name will be "Arrow Chosen"-- no, I'm not making that up. This will be child #11. She's still whitewashing the kids in her photos.

She just makes me extremely uncomfortable because she's so mentally unstable and because I'm afraid of what she might do to the kids and feel entirely justified in doing.

In somewhat happier news, Kelly Havens's kid is doing well, and Kelly seems pretty smitten with her. Mother Bus et al might take note that Kelly went to the hospital when things started to go south and understood it as God's own will that she should seek help for the safety of herself and the baby. And now she's healthy and happy with a healthy and happy baby-- which, one might argue, is something that also makes God happy.

Fun fact: Jimmy Carter was a Southern Baptist, although he quit in 2000 or so.
Other fun fact: George W. Bush is a Methodist.

I know southern Baptists have actually had periods of being somewhat progressive, like in the early 70s they didn't give a fuck about abortion and were starting to be ok with women preaching. It just changed in the late 70s and 80s because some guys in the SBC that had way too much power were raging misogynistic assholes (and also wanted to protect their sex pest buddies).

I listened to the 2-part series Behind the Bastards did on the SBC recently, it was pretty informative and hit on some stuff that's been mentioned ITT before (like a lot of the crazy fundie shit only really taking off after Reagan).

Damn, I was hoping she'd miscarried by now. Isn't she a homebirth lunatic as well?

Guess Anchor's time as mommy's favorite is about to come to an end, I have no doubt he'll be chucked at the sistermoms to become their problem the second the new kid is out. Karissa only wants fresh crotchfruit.

There's definitely some irony that the fundie that tries the hardest to LARP the 1800s is the one that actually went to a damn hospital when a birth started going awry. That shouldn't be noteworthy but since the bar is a tripping hazard in Hell, credit where credit is due.

Please allow me to use this as an excuse to share my favorite Karissa story. She was role playing the world's shittiest Passover seder on IG and was rightly cooked for it. She responded, "it's not like there's a book that can teach you how to 'do Passover!!!!'"
Narrator: There is a book to do a Passover seder. It's called a Haggadah, and it's impossible to read about the holiday without hearing about it.

I always thought of Kelly as more of a theater kid LARPer than a personality disordered mad woman, so this tracks.

Let's be real: the only reason Kelly sought medical attention is due to the urging of her father, who is not a super fundie and a real life ob/gyn. He told her it was absolutely necessary and very urgent, and she was still very much in danger of dying up to the last second before she pushed the kid out at the hospital.

Jill Rodrigues and Karissa are both at the Plexus convention in Vegas.
