NPD is a helluva mental illness.I I just don't understand why any woman would go you know what how about I don't have my baby in the safety and care of medical professionals. it truly is mind melting to even attempt to understand.
having her mind blown by discovering that she has hands
I’m sure there are many reasons why this could happen, but my gut feeling about why comfortable white women in the US do shit like this is because they’ve never seen someone die/be maimed by a birth injury so the possibility seems remote. They feel invincible (until their baby gets cerebral palsy from being born in a bus bathroom).I I just don't understand why any woman would go you know what how about I don't have my baby in the safety and care of medical professionals. it truly is mind melting to even attempt to understand.
Totally off topic but I love when babies discover their hands and feet, they look so amazed and it's so funny.
Why does she have lip fillerStolen from reddit. Sounds like she had a much easier time for this baby.
Does Paul help with the kids at all? Or does he just sit around and get huffy when Morgan is too busy to pay attention to him? Genuinely asking.

At least they don't hold the baby in until the doctors comes anymore. I hope. That's the reason Rosemary Kennedy was born with the issues she had. She was held in too long, which led to her not getting enough oxygen. Why did anyone think that was a good idea in the first place?Fear of loss of control. It’s the most vulnerable time of most women’s lives. Women in labour are defenceless, are not always treated with respect, and may have procedures and examinations done without consent. Some of these procedures may be controversial or damaging.
PTSD is common after childbirth. No matter the good intentions, the reality is that mothers have strangers looking at and prodding their genitals.
In the UK, hospitals have big maternity wards with only paper curtains between beds, and it’s common for other women’s husbands to stare at labouring or breastfeeding women.
These things don’t always happen, but the fear that they might leads women to try to find ways to avoid it. Eventually, they find a sense of solace and control in the belief that if they respect nature and follow traditional practices, everything will be fine. At the same time, they downplay the benefits of hospitals and exaggerate potential harms.
I do think improving maternity care would stop at least some home birthers from wanting to try.
Fear of complications without the doctor present, like if it got stuck or something and needed to be surgically removed. Nevermind that as recently as the Kennedy's, if the mom needed surgery, it was 50/50 on if the mother or baby died. A lot of fucked up practices happened for dumb reasons. At least they don't hold the baby in until the doctors comes anymore. I hope.
