Unsurprisingly, Baptist pastors have been
trying to tamper with and destroy evidence amidst the SBC abuse investigation.
Every single time the SBC has a convention, it's a new headline and a new batch of craziness. I swear that the convention brings something out in them.
Moving on: I don't quite know where this belongs, but I'll put it here because it concerns a fundie family-- and a potential birth injury, baby with possible issues, home birth that may not have gone right, no doctors on board, chiropractors, supplements . . .
Note at the beginning: I collected all this media from Reddit. If you see usernames or info from people's phones, that's their stuff, not mine.
In brief, this is Mother Bus. She and her creepy husband travel the US in their bus, and they now have 8 children (I think). The majority of the kids are boys, so these children have a brother-dad rather than a sister-mom; the oldest/tallest son is the one who does childcare.
The most recent child was born in the bus bathroom, and the father delivered him. No adults were present except the mother (obviously) and the father. the father also used the word "pulled" when describing how the kid came into this world-- make of that what you will. They took him to a chiropractor to get him "adjusted" right after birth, and they weighed him on the scale at either UPS or FedEx-- forget which. That is the entire extent of the health care, pre- and post-natal, that this poor child has received. She was at 41 weeks, possibly more, when she delivered.
The child had jaundice, and, when followers kept calling her out, she took him outside in the sun-- with no coverings of any sort, which lead to him getting sunburned. That's no big deal, though, because he sleeps on a special sheepskin mat that . . . I dunno, woo something or the other. Think Robyn, but Christian fundamentalist.
He does not appear to respond to anything other than very bright lights, and his head just lolls-- like, more than a small child's head would usually loll. His wrists, particularly his right wrist, are always in a contorted position that you can see in the photos. In some photos, his eyes look cloudy. He doesn't really smile or laugh, or look at his parents, or respond to voices-- which is another thing, it's not clear how much he's hearing.
I'm going to put all the photos and video under spoilers in case anyone doesn't want to see this kind of content. This is the tip of the post-baby iceberg as far as media goes; I'm only scratching the surface of what's available on Reddit, and I can grab more. I also only very briefly glossed over her lore, since it didn't directly relate to this particular post.

Baby's name is Boone. He's somewhere between 7 and 9 weeks old; I forget. These photos are all no more than about 10 days old.
I'll put this one outside the spoiler because it is SO obnoxious. It's also Mother Bus in a nutshell, really. She's super into social media and clapping back at the haters, and she doesn't seem to care much about her children.
