I've watched some of the inevitable derail of this thread and I'd like to point out a few things to the regular posters here: 1. Nobody is seriously defending the Duggars or other child-raping fundamentalist lunatics here, the A&H regulars who have posted in this thread so far were perfectly happy that the pedo got caught, convicted and sentenced.

2. Pedophilia, as others who have gone against the subtext of this thread have already mentioned, has no inherent political, religious or ethnic affiliation. It is silly to assume that fundamentalist christians are somehow more fond of child-rape then other people are, the actual problem is that insular and somewhat clannish(I don't know if this is the right word or not.)groups like the Quiverfull types and other religiously conservative communities(and this particular problem isn't unique to such communities) have a problem dealing with the bad actors in their midst.

Yeah, CP is one of those things that definitely exists, and there are absolutely people who look for it. It's a problem that hits human instinct in all the important places; it's hard not to feel instant revulsion at the mere topic. Any sane person would.

The other side of that coin is, it's exactly that property that makes it a convenient accusation to go anger first, investigate truth never. I have no doubt Josh is a kiddie fiddler. There's a mountain of evidence confirming it. Testimony from his siblings is damning. Understanding that part of what they're supposed to preach is that Josh could receive forgiveness (from God) if he's sincere enough about it. As for Jana's charge, I have a feeling we'll find out that she was cruising with a child who wasn't in a car seat. People are talking about a 'wandering' child; but, looking at the citation, it was issued at a crossroad with the main street outside the Duggar's house. It's also on a route between several Duggar homes. Rural roads. The way that citation is written, it almost makes me wonder if it was a moving violation or riding with kids in the back of a vehicle unrestrained. I mean, this is the same family that has back hoes and go-karts and guns laying around the property. For her to get that sort of charge mean's it's likely that someone was injured as a result of her actions. There are so many adults in that house that a child wandering off wouldn't be Jana's responsibility unless it was HER child. But, if she had a child in her car... or had a child in a vehicle an unsafe manner, that WOULD be on her.

I wondered if she wasn’t texting or taking a selfie while she was driving or something dumbshit like those immature fundie man and womanchildren do and initially got busted for that. I am not sure what the Arkansas laws on phone use while driving are but they say that if one texts or uses a phone while driving, they’re as impaired as if they were at the legal blood alcohol limit.
