Bobbye was offered money to testify apparently. Something about her testimony when Josh admitted at 17, two years after the courtship with her daughter was called off, that he fingered that 5yo Jane for girl during bible study, that it was much worse than he previously told her when he confessed originally 2 years before. Like he just confessed cuz that's what you do in fundie land apparently
Josh is much more tech savvy than he wants us to know and testimony says he knew how to setup Linux many years ago
AMY Duggar is probably loving that she is being discussed in a federal courtroom. She was eating up the attention online last I checked in but I find her insufferable like most Duggars and influencers
So they didn't question the jailmate ? I read he got a good plea deal out of it but prosecution rested, bummer
In today's reasonable doubt, Thumb drives! Routers! Linux, oh my!
Idk kiwis, juries are dumb and this shit is prolly over most of their heads
try reading these bottom to top, highlights from The Sun.
LINUX PARTITION PROGRAMS
In the case of the Linux partition in question, it had TOR, a torrent program, and VLC installed.
Gelfand's possible argument could be that Josh Duggar had used Transmission in the past, and he could be trying to question what the reasoning would be for Duggar to download other similar programs with the same goal.
FURTHER LINUX QUESTIONING
Michelle Bush then explained Linux already had Ubuntu and Transmission programs, with no need to download them.
Transmission would allow access to the dark web.
Bush walked the court through a demonstration and opened Transmission, went to Firefox, looked for a torrent download of a movie, and showed that it wanted to open via Transmission, which was the default.
On Josh Duggar's Macbook, it was explained, Transmission was installed in 2017, and was used to download a Hollywood film.
ROUTER IMPORTANCE?
Gelfand then moved onto the router for the HP computer in the car lot, and Michelle Bush explained the wires connect from the router to devices through ethernet.
She said she couldn't examine it because it was not seized.
She called the router "extremely important" because it hosted the IP address and they could know what devices were connected to it and how often.
Bush said routers contain logs and store both live data and memory.
RECREATION
Michelle Bush then recreated the process the HP computer went through from May 13-15, 2019.
When she tried to sign up for Linux, the computer displayed an error when she tried to use dell_one.
It said the username should only have lower case, numbers, or dashes. which could show the username was autogenerated.
Gelfand noted no Dell computer was seized in the case, in a possible attempt to suggest the username was autogenerated and the mystery thumb drive was put into a computer before the partition was installed and could have come from a Dell, which Josh Duggar does not have.
DELL_ONE USER
Michelle Bush said the only user on the partition was Dell_One.
She said it could be autogenerated because an underscore usually isn't allowed for user-generated names.
However, the courtroom Sun reporter noted that the prosecution proved with their questioning of James Fottrell that the username was not autogenerated.
MYSTERY FILES
Defense lawyer Justin Gelfand asked if three files in question were opened on Josh Duggar's personal devices, and Michelle Bush said no. She testified she looked for them.
She said two files, Quiz 1 and Quiz Mommy Amy King Duggar are not the same files.
The Amy King Duggar file was on Josh Duggar's Macbook, and the Sun reporter in the courtroom claimed the prosecution said it could have been on the thumb drive, suggesting that Gelfand tried to debunk that theory today to show someone else plugged in the drive instead.
LINUX INSTALLATION
After a break, Michelle Bush continued to testify.
She said the Linux partition was installed on the HP computer on May 13, 2019.
That same afternoon, several files were opened from an external thumb drive as well.
HP DESKTOP
Bush said there were several partitions on the HP desktop, and said it was normal.
She said there was no trace of child sexual abuse material on the Windows side of the partition.
BUSH TESTIFIES
The forensics expert, Michelle Bush, further explained that she had to sign a contract to review the child sexual abuse materials with her devices.
She was not permitted to connect to the internet and had to delete her hard drive in order to not spread the materials.
She said she found no evidence of CSAM, also known as child pornography, on Josh Duggar's personal Mac devices.
Bush said if it was there at some point and was deleted, she would see evidence and that she did not.
Duggar had the Macbook from 2014 to 2019.
FORENSICS EXPERT
Michelle Bush claimed 50 percent of her cases involve child sexual abuse material.
She said she examined the Macbook, 5 thumb drives and SD cards, an iPhone, and an HP desktop for this case.
Bush explained she went to a Homeland Security office to examine the HP for five days.
She said she had to travel there because of the CSAM.
PROSECUTION RESTS
At that point, the prosecution rested their case.
The defense then began their argument, with Justin Gelfand calling Michelle Bush, a digital forensics expert to the stand.
JOSH AND ANNA DUGGAR
Josh Duggar was then seen talking to his wife, Anna Duggar, for about 20 seconds and she was seen holding his hand the whole time by the Sun reporter.
JOSH DUGGAR SEEN SPEAKING TO SISTER
According to the Sun reporter at the trial, in a short break after that testimony, Josh Duggar spoke to his sister, Joy-Anna (Duggar) Forsyth, for a very brief period.
Joy's husband, Austin Forsyth, was seen rubbing her shoulder and had his arm around her.
CAN'T FORGET IT
Carly Marshall for the prosecution then got back up and questioned Bobye Holt.
Holt claimed she didn't speak with the defense because she wasn't given permission to.
She claimed she was allegedly offered money to speak, which gave her concern, but did not clarify if she meant from the defense.
Marshall asked if Holt remembered the conversations with Josh Duggar and Holt said you don't forget something like that, and that it completely impacted their families.
CROSS-EXAMINATION BY DEFENSE
Defense attorney Justin Gelfand then cross-examined Bobye Holt.
Holt said an investigator for the defense came to her home but that she chose to pass on speaking.
However, Gelfand noted, Holt did speak to the prosecution.
He then noted that Josh and the Holt daughter were always around chaperones during courting.
Gelfand brought up the 2003 conversation and said it was 20 years ago, before asking about 2005.
Holt said it was two years after the relationship with her daughter was called off and Gelfand asked why Josh would confess to his ex's parents, to which Holy replied that just would.
EMOTIONAL TESTIMONY
Bobye Holt continued, explaining that in 2005, Josh Duggar came to her in Little Rock and spoke more of what happened in 2003.
She explained that he confessed to the abuse of Jane Doe 4 being worse than previously revealed, that the inappropriate touching was under her dress and that he took off her pantaloons.
The graphic details of Mrs Holt's testimony will not be shared here, but the Sun reporter shared that she seemed "pained" during her testimony.
Maybe somebody can figure out what exactly she said that the sun didn't want to release here?
Mrs Holt explained that being on the stand was "miserable" and that she still loved Josh and that she didn't want to talk about it.
RELATIONSHIP ENDED
Bobye Holt explained that the plan had been for their oldest daughter and Josh Duggar to get married.
She said Jim Bob Duggar told them so the daughter would know why the relationship had to end.She said Josh went to a facility for troubled youth and that she still loves Josh.
MARCH 30, 2003
Bobbye Holt testified that she and her husband, Jim Holt, went over to the Duggar's house on March 30, 2003 for an "important matter."S

MARCH 30, 2003
Bobye Holt testified that she and her husband, Jim Holt, went over to the Duggar's house on March 30, 2003 for an "important matter."
She said Josh was present for the conversation, and was 15 at the time.
She said Josh explained he had had Jane Doe 4 in his lap during Bible time and inappropriately touched her chest and genital area.
He confessed that he had touched Jane Does 1, 2, and 3 on their chests and bottom areas, both on top of and under their clothes, when they were sleeping from when he was 12 to 15.
The unnamed Jane Doe 4 was 5 years old.
Bobye Holt then testified that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar called herself and her husband to their home in 2003.
The judge then warned the jury of the upcoming child molestation testimony, and reminded them that Josh Duggar was not charged.
PROSECUTION CALLS BOBYE HOLT
Next, the prosecution's Carly Marshall called Bobye Holt.
She testified that she and her husband had been friends with the Duggars for over thirty years and that their kids had been best friends.
She said their oldest daughter was Josh Duggar's girlfriend in November 2002.
She said it was formal and they were only 14.
TECH SAVVY
Clayman then got up and spoke with Holt again, who explained that Josh Duggar would help with graphics on the computer and helped put together and edit a commercial when he was a teenager.
Justin Gelfand noted all of that work was done on a Mac, not an HP like the office computer.
HOW TO SET UP LINUX
Jim Holt testified that he and Josh Duggar talked about Linux in 2010.
He said Josh asked how to set up a Linux partition.
Defense lawyer Justin Gelfand then cross-examined Holt and Holt said Clint Branham brought up the Linux conversation and was more tech savvy than he was, but that he wasn't sure about Josh.
PROSECUTION CALLS JIM HOLT
Prosecutor William Clayman called Jim Holt to testify.
Jim and Bobye Holt have 11 children and are longtime friends of the Duggar family.
Jim has known Jim Bob Duggar since he was 11 years old.
Josh volunteered on his political campaigns in 2000, 2004, and 2006, and helped less in 2010
BRANHAM AND LINUX
Branham explained that he and Josh discussed Linux and how it was a way for people to bypass Covenant Eyes.
Story asked if Branham thought Josh knew how to write code lines or command code, and Branham said he wouldn't be surprised, but Josh hadn't told him that.
DEFENSE CROSS-EXAMINES
Josh's defense lawyer Travis Story then cross-examined Branham.
Branham said the conversation with Josh happened in the summer of 2010.
He said Jim Holt was there for it, and is a long-time friend of Branham's.
COVENANT EYES
Branham said he and Josh Duggar discussed Covenant Eyes and how to keep people from getting around it.
He said Josh seemed disinterested in the conversation.
PROSECUTION CALLS CLINT BRANHAM
This morning, prosecutor Dustin Roberts called Clint Branham, who is a technical cyber security worker.
He said he and Josh Duggar ran in the same circles and that they would discuss technology and politics.
He described Josh as "more advanced" than an average tech user, and that he thought Josh would be comfortable installing his own computer programs.
