Throw all the top hats my way, but I still find it fucking disgusting that the girls were forced to do the little song and dance with Megyn Kelly publicly “forgiving” their fat piece of shit pedo brother. I also find it fucking disgusting that Boob and Incubator shun Jill for the horrible crimes of sending her boys to public school for a better education than she could give them herself, family planning so she can properly raise her kids herself and occasionally enjoying a glass of wine with dinner… while Pedo Josh was allowed full unrestricted access to a bunch of vulnerable girls who would have to “forgive him unconditionally” after he diddled them. Federal district court judges (like the one presiding over the trial) are appointed by the president of the US and confirmed by the senate for life. There is no removal process for them and they can be a judge until they die or choose to retire.

Federal magistrate judges (like Comstock) are appointed by those federal district court judges to serve 8 year terms. There are no elections or mechanisms by which the public can recall any of these federal judges.

The Federal Bail Reform Act applies in federal court and governs whether a defendant is detained or released pending trial. It is different than what you usually think involves high cash bail/bond in order to be free while you wait for trial. The basic gist is that the default in federal court is to assume a defendant should be released pending trial (because you are presumed innocent until proven guilty at trial) unless the government shows there is a high risk the defendant won't appear in court or there is a substantial risk the defendant will cause bodily injury or violently hurt someone while out on release. There are also certain crimes, like those involving guns, where the default is to keep them locked up. There's a lot of factors that go into it, but basically more often than not, average child porn defendants are released pending trial because they're not a threat to the community; they're just pervs online. And you can't lock people up for uncharged crimes based on hearsay. Also, either side can ask the judge to reconsider the decision to detain/release based on changed circumstances (this is what Ghislaine Maxwell keeps trying to do).

First, the judge ruled that the agent's statement regarding the chezpizza to be "the worst of the worst, within top ten worst" cases not be used against Josh at trial. I kinda get that, it's opinion but I still disagree with the judge on this. The pubic Should know what DD is and Should know it's the worst of the worst.

Prosecution tried to ban the defense from blaming the computer use on another person but the judge said the defense can absolutely do that. (Are these prosecutors from Kenosha? I mean, did they go to the same blithering idiot lawschool?)

The poor jury is going to have to watch DD.

The defense also had to watch it. The obvious defense is to say "some other person downloaded that porn." So hopefully the AUSAs have something more to hang him with other than it was on his computer because that's like the only viable defense that exists.
