Just a couple answers to some of the questions about federal court raised in this thread:
The government has a right to a jury trial in federal court, so even if Josh asked for a bench trial that could only happen if the prosecution agrees to waive a jury. Honestly a jury is your best bet if you're actually guilty - it's much easier to fool your average dumb juror that there is reasonable doubt than it is to fool the judge who has seen dozens of child porn defendants just like you.
Most federal courts do not allow any outside recording in the courtroom.
