The Queen spent Wednesday night in hospital for preliminary medical checks and is now back at Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace has said.
The 95-year-old monarch returned from hospital at lunchtime on Thursday and is "in good spirits", the palace added.
The Queen was said to be "disappointed" after cancelling a visit to Northern Ireland on Wednesday.
She was given medical advice to rest for a few days, after a busy schedule of public engagements.
In a statement on Thursday night, Buckingham Palace said: "Following medical advice to rest for a few days, the Queen attended hospital on Wednesday afternoon for some preliminary investigations, returning to Windsor Castle at lunchtime today, and remains in good spirits."
The Queen was seen by specialists at the private King Edward VII's Hospital in central London, about 19 miles (32km) from Windsor. Her admittance is understood not to be related to coronavirus.
The overnight stay was said to be for practical reasons and the Queen was back at her desk undertaking light duties on Thursday afternoon.
The King Edward VII's is a private hospital in London's Marylebone used by senior royals, including the Queen's husband, the late Duke of Edinburgh, who received treatment there earlier this year.
It has been a busy period of official engagements for the Queen.
She was pictured hosting a Global Investment Summit at Windsor Castle on Tuesday evening alongside Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
An official record of the Queen's diary showed at least 15 other formal events during October.
On Wednesday, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said the monarch had "reluctantly accepted medical advice to rest for the next few days".
He said the Queen was "disappointed that she will no longer be able to visit Northern Ireland" - which would have involved an overnight stay.
She is expected to lead a royal delegation to the Glasgow COP26 climate change summit in two weeks' time.
Earlier this week, the Queen declined a magazine's award of Oldie of the Year, saying "you are only as old as you feel".
She "politely but firmly" turned down the award, but sent the Oldie magazine a message with her "warmest best wishes".

Just a preliminary thread for now, but it's worth keeping an eye on, pretty sure this was how it started with Philip...

Can't believe that yet another beloved figure with a thread on the despicable kee wee farms has died. To the list she goes

It’s basically:

>Irish-American larpers who think it's still 1856
>Indians and Middle Easterners who've been brainwashed by their shitty governments into thinking all their problems are due to the British Empire
>Nazis who think Germany would have won WWII if not for Britain
>Commies
>Socialists
>Lefties in general really
>Especially modern wokeists who blame Britain for everything from the slave trade (all of it) to the concept of gender
>Various Europeans and Latin Americans who are salty at Britain for [insert lost war here]
>Europhiles who hate Britain for ruining their globohomo club
>Black supremacists
>Russians who think they would rule Eurasia if not for Britain
>American nationalists who think it's 1776

The Queen even got Putin and zelenskyy to agree on something, two men who are currently at war. The irony is that the people who view her the most positively are common folk.

In the end, it’s republicucks and amerimutts who are seething that they don’t have a non-political figure head that everyone likes in their country. Kiwi farmers who haven’t touched grass and are sperging about history doesn’t change the fact that her reign will be remembered extremely fondly. Even moreso with the shitshow that is the euro sphere now.

Considering how the UK became an ally so early on in the beginning of America, I think they were be rolling at the state of the political parties (or existence of if you’re GW) in the country.
Imagine believing for a single second that the Queen in recent years has done anything but sell her people out to a parliamentary that hates them. Half the people you're talking about above are people that she advocated for and gave entrance into her country—either directly or indirectly by throwing her support behind fools. As a figurehead, she was pretty fucking useless and now her country is going to gradually sink further into globohomo devolution because Charles is an even bigger fucking tool. I lament her death, but only because I know whoever replaces her will be worse.

Dang, couldn't she wait 4 more days? it would have been a funny joke.

Hahaha, my local news found a British guy who works in some Irish/British bar and interviewed him about the Queen's death. He wasn't even the owner, he's like in the band or something, and he's been here like 16 years but they tracked him down to get a 4 minute clip of some old Brit saying "Yeah she was the Queen and that's real important-like to us Brits and now she's dead, innit", fuck me.

So there seems to be an even split on Queen haters and Queen supporters.

Any Anglo's or others in the know care to shed some light? Why would anyone hate her?
Am eternal anglo, but I poured one out for Gorbachev because I can put us/them mentality aside. I'll do the same for Kissinger.

She lived her life with dignity and duty. Which are two concepts commies and niggers will never understand, and they hate being reminded about.

Edit: If you are American, think on the Greatest Generation. This is not who you are now, of course, any more than I'm the fucking Queen, but we can lie in the gutter, look up at the stars, and at least dream of being that glorious.

They can not.

As for the fighting Irish, those wounds are still fresh. They've earned the right to hate.

God bless America, and
Long live the King.
