I like it, would be nice to have a zone dedicated to the legitimately famous to have for gossip purposes plus what gossip site would be complete without a section for normie waffen to sperg about their pet celebrities.

It feels a bit redundant to me. Each figure seems to fall under another category already be it political or multimedia. Wouldn't it just split already existing threads unless mods are willing to mirco manage every new event to be moved into the person's megathread?

I like the name Very Exceptional Persons. It's a play on V.I.P., it fits the site, and distinguishes between other people who may only have e-fame.

You also have to expect it will cause some of those people, or their fans, to find their threads more easily. That may be good for growth, but it's also a magnet for their lawyers. (ETA: a relevant UK case involving a board that sounds very similar)

Everyone debating Donald Trump is focusing on an exception. Trump is really his own category, he acts like a lolcow and can be milked as such, he just happens to be very successful as well. A lot of the drama comes from his haters or his fans, not always him, even though every random sentence he says can spark it.

He also has enough orbiters to warrant his own board, since their activities revolve around MAGA only. It's not covered by the Grifter tag, or as a Community Watch. But even if he meets the threshold, doing that would just exacerbate all the politics and flamewars. It's not worth the trash fire just to be autistically correct about categorization (the best kind of correct).

Digital Lolcows vs Meatbag Lolcows?

If their only presence is online, they may not even be real. We know people like Elon, Azalea Banks, Alex Karp etc are real actual meatbags, so that makes sense to group them separately.

I support Crunk's proposal. I imagine there would be a lot more threads to talk about people that don't really fit the other areas.

The proposal is not for "celebrity" or "famous people". The idea is regarding people who hold real positions of power. Members of public office. corporate executives, your local town council. It's in the (proposed) name: "Public Interest". It should be so obvious that discussion relating to this person is in the "public interest" by traditional definition that it's not really in question.

When you're the CEO of a publicly traded company, everything about your life is a matter of public interest. Despite this, executives gets disproportionately less coverage unless it's someone specific like Elon Musk. Larry Ellison runs a feudalistic pseudo-monarchy on an island he bought, I wonder what's going on there...

Ok, but I want all their threads updated to include their Emily-Youcis headshots if available.

I like the idea of KF shifting slightly away from clowning on lolcows and toward more of a free speech forum amongst mostly-normal autists, with a heavy emphasis on archival. The greatest of the cows are all dormant, in prison, or dead at this point and it can feel like scraping the barrel to find goofy fuckers to laugh at.

The conversations I've had on KF have been much more interesting and valuable than the ones I've had anywhere else online in the past decade. Anything that boosts that is a good idea imo.

I mean, this is kinda already happening at this point.

I feel like we have passed the golden age of lolcows at this point.

And half the reason I even use this website is for the political, accurate world event news and general discussions about things in general that feels more authentic than other places on the internet.

A board like this sounds like a good idea, but considering that most of these are political figures of some kind, there should be extra moderation and stricter rules, cause otherwise this would just become a clone of A&N.
I agree but with this stipulation that moderation be strict so it doesn't devolve into A&N or Mass Debates.

It's a good idea, they do not fit typical definitions of lolcows and celebrity hysterics honestly belongs in their own little spergatory.
