Pro-Palestine College Protests - Summer of Love 2: Autistic Boogaloo

Has anyone noticed how all the protests are happening in only prestigious universities? You wouldn't see stuff like this happening in smaller universities or less academically acclaimed ones. I wonder why.

Most of these protestors are well off, well fed, and obviously has little struggle in their lives so they're only doing these things and wasting their parents' hard-earned money just for a grift. A lousy grift. Do you know how high Columbia's tuition is?? Do you know how much one goes through just to even get a mention from Columbia or any prestigious university in their emails? A complete waste of money and a potential degree for this protest.

It'd be different if they were just, I don't know, actually peacefully protesting, but with all what's been going on and the cancellations of both classes and graduation, they're ruining the lives of not just themselves but the people who aren't even in the protest just wanting to get their classes done and earn their degrees.

This doesn't even make me MATI, it just make me sad. Sad these blokes are relying on emotion over critical thinking skills and just do the thing because they're told to do the thing.

Wouldn't be surprised whatever if they unironically start asking for a second Holocaust.

This is actually a pretty good argument for colleges being state-funded. I was mulling this over the other day and i think a big reason as to why you don't see similar shit taking place in slavland is in fact that college is free - but you need to perform.

If you treat students as customers there's an incentive to keep them in no matter what (as long as the check clears), doesn't really matter if they learn anything, you get your cash anyway. In contrast if it's paid by the state, there's no incentive to keep people that like to pull this shit instead of studying. In fact it's the opposite because a lot of grants, both from public and private sectors, are heavily dependant on the schools reputation. Keeping dumbasses in just doesn't pay in that kind of environment.

Either way i think this attitude is going to end sooner or later. Ivy leagues are expensive because they produce high quality people, which is what employers respect, which gives those people a leg up over others and make the expense worth it. Once that rep is gone the scrap of paper will be worthless. Knowing how to shout slogans and dodge aids ain't exactly what anyone needs from an engineer.

I dunno, Cal Poly Humboldt, formerly Cal State University Humboldt / Humboldt State University, is pretty much pothead-U. And they had protests and a building occupation, maybe not as newsworthy but just as retarded.

Also Portland State University, which had their library occupied, also not prestigious. But mostly outside agitators who brought the summer of vandalism to Portland a few years ago.

I think this is interelite job competition. I think a lot of the elite school protesting is angling for better research and NGO postings later on--being a real activist with your name in the news makes your shitty research proposal and bio look a lot better if you want to get a PhD or a postdoc or join up in that space. It pays well and it makes you feel good and so much of the world is so shitty that making it dumber and gayer is usually a net improvement, so your feelings are validated. Lots of professors go to the encampment as well, you're networking very intensely with people there. Smart people are on all the time, even if their current language and affectations are contemptible.

There is bipartisan consensus on pro-Zionism in the US. The few politicians that are anti-Zionist are exceptions.
In Europe this is kinda true, but far less so compared to the US.
Celebrities are also kinda split on this.

I think the Israel vs. Anti-Zionism schism is less over politics and more about generational divide. With the other progressive flavor-of-the-week "Current Things" – e.g. BLM, vaccines, Ukraine, abortions, LGBTBBQHDTV++, or Musk derangement syndrome – they essentially fall in lockstep with leftoids of all ages, no matter if they're a normie CNN-watching shitlib or a Reddit socialist.

The whole fight over Gaza and Israel is unique in that it's a true sign of how left wing indoctrination works when young people are groomed. lol a small group tried this shit at my old college. Them protesting is fine. The campus get's nutty preachers and anti-abortion types all the time so they allow and enforce the free-speech zones. But as soon as they tried to set up a camp, the campus police started arresting people and tore everything down. It's a pretty laid back school, most students are either working or from working areas of the city, few have the time or care to get involved.

I swear it's mostly the kids from rich families who have the free time to care about random people overseas instead of worrying about the their school work, the shitty economy and jump starting their career in this shitty job market.

BLM protestors were starting to draw parallels with Palestine. They were noticing that many police get Israeli training. It was only a matter of time before they started connecting the dots with Jewish district attorneys and judges.

So what better thing to do than shift the spotlight to the Jews’ favorite minority, the bugmen? That coomer shot all those Asian massage parlor ladies. Right around the same time all the niggers had to get back to work at their wagie jobs because the COVID gibs dried up.
