Regional variants will suck cause unless one place in each game is "Like the [x] region" it's gonna suck catching or evolving Alola Form and beyond. But it'd be kick was if we got more forms like that.. But only way it could happen is if you could travel to other regions. Which could be possible since its on the switch instead of a portable console.

I think the mysterious souvenir from Sun and moon will be a held item needed for getting alolan forms from now on. (That totem item that did nothing)
As for thoughts of regional Pokemon, I'd otherwise be happy seeing more of the Mega Evolutions if they're not returning.

There’s a general Pokémon press conference tonight.

EDIT: This is different than the Sword and Shield Direct on the 5th, to be clear.

So apparently theres something called pokemon sleep or some shit coming out lmfao. "It tracks a user's time sleeping to add to the gameplay experience. It releases in 2020. The Pokémon GO Plus + has been announced by Nintendo. It can be used as a Pokémon GO Plus for Pokémon GO and works in Pokémon Sleep when put on the bed to attract information about how long you sleep" -Serebii

As what was hinted at in a past interview, they revealed Pokemon Home, a program where you can transfer Pokemon from Pokemon Bank, GO, Let's Go, and Sword/Shield into a single cloud-based storage, though it can only be withdrawn by Sword and Shield.

I’m assuming they’re trying to encourage people actually getting a full night’s sleep the way Go encourages waking. It’s weird, but I get the concept.

And I actually want some of those shirts they talked about at the end

The entire thing was basically, "BTW WE'RE JUST REMINDING YOU THAT THOSE TRADITIONAL POKEMON SPIN OFF GAMES YOU LIKE ARE DEAD AND BURIED!"

The Detective Pikachu sequel doesn't count because it only exists due to the movie. Everything else was just more and more shallow mobile garbage.

Hopefully the Sword/Shield Direct proper a week from tomorrow is better...

Eh, it was very “Japanese business meeting preparation”. It was about what I expected, especially with the Pokémon direct in a week.

The shirt designs are pretty interesting though, each one is unique.

I’ll probably pick up a couple once the American site opens.

Lol I have no mobile phone so I'm not going to be using the majority of these new additions--I'm okay with the Detective Pikachu sequel since it did end on an open ending. The gameplay is fun, so I wonder what they'll add to it. Will have to let my brothers know about Pokémon Home so we can look for it when it's available.

For Pokémon Sleep, I hope the device they're using will not die/wear down like the PokéWalker. It was a huge shame the PokéWalker's lifespan only like lasted a year or something like that because apparently it couldn't be shut down (unless I was just a dumb-ass) so if you needed to keep using it, you needed to take it/ship it in to get a new battery. But the PokéWalker was a great idea, so I guess encouraging a good sleep pattern was to be expected. Next time, they're going to be calculating your calorie count and making sure you eat healthy. :P

Pokémon Shirts looks neat. I'd like to check it out once it's available.

Ummm... You can change the battery, it uses a CR2032 Lithium battery. All you need is a screwdriver and you can easily replace it. Did it myself with mine.

Interestingly it uses the exact same battery as its Gen II counterpart, the Pokemon Pikachu 2. In fact many other videogame devices of around that size (like the Dreamcast's VMU) also use them.

I'm pretty sure this is fake, X and Y had a similar "leak" that was a text-based list of all the new Pokemon, and it was full of crap as well. Also a lot of the names are pretty suspect. Do you really think that Nintendo of America would allow Pokemon to have English names like Swaggot and Twinkape? And a large chunk of cross-gen evolutions with type changes are pretty common very specific fan wants, all they need to add is a Fighting/Flying Farfetch'd evolution to complete it.

The wishlist effect (so many still unused unique typings dumped all at once and all the new evolutions to old mons in particular) kill this leak the most for sure. But what catches my sperging eye is the naming convention present throughout this "leak."

While many Pokemon names are just two common English words glued together (if even that, you've got even lazier ones like Seel and Golem), it's far from universal and certainly not enough to fill an entire regional dex. There's plenty of instances where extremely obscure words, different languages, suffixes and meanings are meshed together into something unique, regardless of translation. But here every name is just a common everyday English word slapped against another with no finesse. And that's even before getting into the blatant dead meme names, like "Swaggot" (some may point to Litten, but "lit" is a normal word that was simply turned into a meme, swag on the other hand has always been a meme word).

The 'Swag' part could refer to 'swagger', which is a word all by itself.
