To be fair, I played SuperGold97, a fully functioning romhack that lets you play the Spaceworld beta from start to finish, and as much as I like the tiger's design, it just doesn't have much going for it to differentiate itself from Pikachu and Ampharos line...all of which are found in the same patch of grass btw. I ended up going with Amphy, in fact it was one of my aces in that playthru.I like fat tiger.
I wish that it hadn't been axed. Then we get Litten and the final is a muscle daddy furfag bait.
It's a toss up between the Frontier Brain Battle Theme from RSE or Team Plasma's Castle for me.What's the best theme in a Pokémon game? The theme playing when capturing Giratina in the Distortion World is pretty memorable, or Deoxys' theme.
I disagree. The best remake of Red and Blue's music actually goes to Let's Go's OST. They even faithfully recreated the synth.FRLG in general has some real nice renditions of the gen 1 music
Oh, I like LGs soundtrack too. XY has a couple gen 1 remixes I like too. I didn't mean to say FRLG were the best, just nice.I disagree. The best remake of Red and Blue's music actually goes to Let's Go's OST. They even faithfully recreated the synth.
Route 110 is better with lyrics and a nice sounding drumUnpopular opinion re: music:
Route 120 > Route 104 > Route 110
The whole line is so weird. It looks like a sloth interbred with an ape.
Slakoth: Lazy and sleeps all day
Vigoroth: Literally can't stop moving because of extreme levels of stress.
Slaking: Fat lazy fuck.
Maybe it's supposed to represent life stages. A sleepy baby, a hyperactive teen that likes to break stuff and finally, a fat and lazy adult. It can tell all the young slakoths about its glory days as a quarterback as it stuffs its face with food.
Kind of like how Sobble can be seen as a crybaby, Drizile an edgy teen with an emo haircut and Inteleon is a know it all college graduate. I can see it going "Well ackshully..." at everything if it could talk like a human. I know it's supposed to be some steath assassin 007 type. But it looks so smug. Everyone would avoid Inteleon at parties because Inteleon never shuts up and has to one up everyone's knowledge on everything.
Gen 3 had the issue of designs suddenly becoming clean and corporate while still lacking the technical expertise to make the games. A lot of why Gen 3 runs so much better than Gen 2 was the jump in convenience (assembly to C, higher assumptions on hardware constraints) rather than any improvement within GF.Also i'm not a big fan of gen 3.

I heard somewhere that the slakoth line was a joke about a lazy person trying to be active but then giving up, but I don't remember where I heard that so that might be fake and gay.If you see it that way, slakoth is not only the circle of life, but a brutal black pill.
you're always gettin fucked by your genes.

Gen 2 still had that scuffed indy feeling. If anything, it's more of the same from Gen 1, though without as much of the "filling a cube" design philosophy. It ran a good range from baby designs to cool monsters, even if the pokemon where underwhelming under the hood.Wrong, this was gen 2. Gen 3 is where they attempt to go back to gen 1 and create more monster designs rather than the baby designs of gen 2.
Gen 3 initially was made to be a reboot just like BW was, to made all types of pokémon, but tjey didn't meet the quota and had to bring the old ones.Gen 2 still had that scuffed indy feeling. That’s 1/5 of the total introduced Pokémon, and Lugia and Ho-oh are both cool as well I also personally like Meganium and Girafarig). Of all these, only 7 are second-stage, and only Houndoom and Tyranitar are after the Elite 4.But even then, what cool pokemon in gen 2? Lets see: feraligatr, typhlosion, ariados, crobat, ampharos, steelix, scizor, heracross, ursaring, kingdra, gligar, donphan, skarmory, houndoom, sneasel, tyranitar, dogs.
I think that Aggron looks worse than before. Looks a little plain without its horns and armor plating. All the others are better: Ludicolo, the Milotic-like, and Meditite line look way cooler. Also more gen 3 edits by /vp/anon, I think this is a great example of how much cooler they aee in the end than in the beta

I like route 29 a lot, especially the DS version, very very cozy theme. I hum it during walks and stuff. Close second would be the Pokemon center theme from Heartgold/SoulSilver. I love the osts in both of those, I grew up with them, what can I say. What's the best theme in a Pokémon game? The theme playing when capturing Giratina in the Distortion World is pretty memorable, or Deoxys' theme.

I used Slaking in my NeXt Gen run recently, and it's a beast in doubles, especially if you can switch abilities with it so it can attack every turn.I often forget about slakoth because slaking is so bad and the design never caught me in a way of "that's fucking cool". It's just a big fat tough King Kong/donkey kong ripoff but ugly and lazy instead.
There is barely any new Gen 2 Pokemon because they cut out most of them, lmaoWrong, this was gen 2. Gen 3 is where they attempt to go back to gen 1 and create more monster designs rather than the baby designs of gen 2.
