I miss the dual screen UI. It worked so much better than the single screen tech these days...

In that case I'd say no but idk about others. Pokémon's always done its own thing in the monster design department (ironically, that very thing is creative plagiarism of nature, but not of aesthetic trends, hidden behind stylization). The only thing I can kind of think of in terms of Pokémon design is Porygon's line, which goes from a shitty 90s polygon to a 2000s blobbygon and then every modern AAA game of today with ZI was focusing on the Pokemon themselves.
I miss dual screens in general. Gaming peaked with the DS family and has yet to recover. Praying that the Switch 2 clamshell rumors that have been floating around for years are true.I miss the dual screen UI. It worked so much better than the single screen tech these days...
I thought the gameboy advance SP was great. Easy to carry around, and you didn't have to worry about the screen getting fucked up like the original gameboys. In that case I'd say no but idk about others. The SP was the perfect size, was durable enough, and most importantly had the revolutionary backlit screen so I didn't need a shitty peripheral light that plugged into my gameboy to play at night under my covers or during night time car rides.I thought the gameboy advance SP was great. Don't forget the rechargeable battery, you ended up saving money due to not constantly buying AAs and getting scolded for taking said AAs out of the TV remote. The only complaint I have for the SP is the loss of the headphone jack, that required an additional dongle that used the charge port. The SP was the perfect size, was durable enough, and most importantly had the revolutionary backlit screen so I didn't need a shitty peripheral light that plugged into my gameboy to play at night under my covers or during night time car rides.
It was still way too small. The SP was the perfect size, was durable enough, and most importantly had the revolutionary backlit screen so I didn't need a shitty peripheral light that plugged into my gameboy to play at night under my covers or during night time car rides.
Not when you were a kid with kid sized hands. It was still way too small.
I installed it, was horrified at the 500MB installation and screwing around with it for 10 minutes as I can't even get enough to battle, just makes me wish that there was a modern version of the Game Boy game. It was great—almost every card released at the time, easy to get into, good single-player campaign, and some really catchy music.Alright, is this new pocket TCG actually a legit fun little version of it or is it just the usual endless/vacuous gacha wank?
I really like the look of this. No other commentary to add; just this really caught my eye.I owned the kyogre sp, bought it on a flea market but sold it later sadly.
Would be rich if I kept it.
Then they were all perfectly sized. Not when you were a kid with kid sized hands.

making it part steel kinda makes sense, since appearance-wise it looks like it's made out of metal.I still recall a time when Magnemite and Magneton were pure Electric types.
>Guardians would act as a 5th move slot
They thought about adding 5th or even 6th slot for moves in Gen 3, but decided against it as it would be too different from the norm and be a nightmare to balance.>Guardians would act as a 5th move slot
Now that I think about it, there should have been more moveslots opened up with each (or every other) new generation instead of keeping it locked to 4. There's like, what, a thousand of these things now? 4-move slot syndrome is more of a curse than it ever was because of this. There's too many variables to think about because the meta has gotten way too complex. Having one or two more back-up moves would have been a lifesaver, especially for type weaknesses.
Then again, gameFreak decided to remove a lot of moves like Hidden Power, which was a godsend for most pokemon that don't see the light as often.
I liked the change to Electric/Steel, though they really should've made the Magnemite evolutions have Levitate. It even says they levitate in the Pokedex entries.making it part steel kinda makes sense, since appearance-wise it looks like it's made out of metal
