There are multiple ones, it was probably to be on the library in that port city, so you could have many and ir wouldn't be a problem.

It looks like every trainer battle was supposed to be a double battle in this screen.

It should be noted that Pokemon Colosseum has every single battle be a double battle and that game was still in development before Ruby and Sapphire released. This might have indeed been the original plan.

It is some event that could only get accessed via hacks on Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. Sounds like they still left some code in and had to scrap shit.

I guess nearly all the mainline Pokemon games had to be rushed to the finish line.

Sorry to disappoint you, but the reason this was left on the cutting room floor wasn't because of time, the event is full functioning and finished. It was never given away because Masuda(the fucker who wrote all this deep lore) said that kids would be too stupid to make their way to where Arceus was without a guide or hints. Then again, knowing what we know now, it could have just been TPCi telling him to say this shit.

Those detailed designs were made by Okutani Jun, who wrote it in unown that "it was designed by Okutani Jun".

Also there are some beta gen 3 pokemon that have dex decriptions too



And looks like we have some names too... And If we have names, it is easier go introduce them back into the games

Not gonna lie, a lot of these just look like shitty fakemon. Can't really say I miss them, it seems that those were made before the mandate to make them "look more cool" was put into place. It's interesting that Latios/Latias were always there, I would have figured they would have been last minute Pokemon when Blaziken's design was changed.

Yeah, these are looking real rough. Glad they were changed.
Note that some of these already look more like the final variations we got, meaning that those designs were scrapped by this point anyways.

I see this among Sonic fans too, they'll pay some comic writer guy to tell them what the current stance is behind the scenes in regards to some ambiguous bit of lore, and then screech that he "lied" to them and contradicted canon earlier when it ends up being something different later. Not every idea that's ever been put to paper in the writing room ever gets used for a series, plans change over time, and calling all of them canon even when they contradict each other is retarded. Only things that make it into officially released media are truly canon, and maybe "word of god" statements made publicly by people who worked on it. Decades-old unfinished concepts scraped from the bottom of the reject bin that were hidden away under lock and key aren't either of those.

Dude, this is a commercial product, not a work of art, did you ser how many features were dropped in favor of real technical aspects of the game? All this arceus lore that we didnt get for some reason?

How maxie and archie were different characters but was changed into basically the same thing because it was easier to put in the game as two bad guys?

These are the dreams and wishes before it was crushed by game development reality and they have much more value than the final result because it was in the final game. You know those ideas given by devs and other devs shotting it down because it would be too hard like customizing pokeballs or creating your own gym? I did play hack roms that allowed me to become a Champion and protect the title and customize my pokeballs, these dreams were made into reality later by fans who lives out of the development hell world and could shape it into better games and experiences.

Rape and Pokephilia are now 100% canon and confirmed, what Nintendo, Gamefreak or TPCi think doesn't matter. Not like fans aren't used to this, vast majority of lore always comes outside the games anyways.

I'm already seeing theories of what happens both in the gym and in the houses of the RSE protagonists thanks to that Slaking story, this isn't going away any time soon. Good luck talking about Octillery, Lapras or Ursaring and friends anytime soon!
