Sinnoh Folk Story 3 came from somewhere
I'm still surprised that this was what sneaked it's way into the game and not the elder god stuff with Arceus. The closest we get to his lore is that HGSS event and the plates.

I wish I had the data file of pokemon legends z, i would calmly ask nintendo to add a piece of lore that explicitally makes humans and pokemon mating under any circumstance an absolute taboo or they'll be forced to re-do their precious pokemon game from scratch like it happened with gta 6.
 
The pokemon fucking is based off real Japanese myth. The octillery one specifically is originally a folk tale about a man who has a child with a giant koi carp named tomoe. It's not coming put of nowhere.

My guess is that he was originally going to be, based on the Pokétch concept included here, an evil executive/CEO. Kind of ironic seeing him like this when said concept became official with Lysandre and touched on more with Lusamine and Chairman Rose. It also kind of retools the whole "Cyrus is autistic" headcanon people have, you could easily take the whole "I want to make world without emotions" crap that Cyrus wanted to make because of his shitty upbringing and and retool it towards wanting to make a world the cold, heartless world of corporatism that would've been very on-the-nose considering Japan's corporate culture.
 
Catching up with the thread. I never would've expected another Spaceworld Demo situation but here we are and I love it.
If the leaks get to X&Y I wonder if they'll get into the original draft for the plot too? I remember reading something about how supposedly Team Flare were alien invaders from space and Lysandre and the professor were both one person with a split personality or something like that.

Also, this was already posted here but I just noticed how Sabrina seems closer to her original design here rather then the HGSS redesign we ended up getting.

I gotta say, I wished they stuck with this, her redesign removed part of what made her unique and just turned her into a second Karen.

I played it earlier this year. I had fun with it, but I remember that it relied a lot on having OP trainers and maze-like dungeons filled with Pokemon that do status effect moves that waste your time (I distinctly remember an area filled with Volbeats that had several attacks that could confuse, cause paralysis and charm you and you would just get stuck in a loop of not being able to attack every turn and it was so tedious). It's enjoyable, though.

It is some event that could only get accessed via hacks on Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. Sounds like they still left some code in and had to scrap shit.

I guess nearly all the mainline Pokemon games had to be rushed to the finish line.
 
Those detailed designs were made by Okutani Jun, who wrote it in unown that "it was designed by Okutani Jun".

Also there are some beta gen 3 pokemon that have dex decriptions too

Being able to see a sprite for that Blaziken/Latias hybrid is the highlight of this leak. It's a beautiful sprite.

I think the Mystri Stage explanation (or at least the Pokémon order) is the biggest surprise for me, like holy shit that is weirdly complex, but also confirms Deoxys to be older than we realize. It's supposed to be a space virus that scientists mutated in a lab, and yet there it is with an actual spot on the Stage. Putting on pseudolegends and fucking Gyarados is also nuts.

Now it just brings up a question as to what happens when all those Pokémon are in position there. Is it a literal universe creation machine or what?
