So this is my take on the demo and little details I noticed that haven't been brought up yet.

The battle menu has been drastically changed and is far more informative than in previous games. People who feel that the difficulty of the games has been nerfed in recent generations probably won't like these changes, but nothing they give you is stuff you couldn't keep track of on your own.

The big change is that after you encounter a pokemon for the first time, the game tells you how effective your moves will be against it. What I haven't seen mentioned however, is that you can tap the pokemon sprites on the touch screen and get additional information. This will not only let you know the typing of the pokemon you're battling (not available on the first encounter) but will also allow you to see any buffs or debuffs the pokemon has. So if you like to use status moves you can keep track of these much easier than before.

From this same screen, I was also able to check the abilities of Greninja and Pikachu and see what they do. I was not able to do this with any of the pokemon I was fighting (there is a trainer you can fight in the second part of the demo who has a Pikachu, I forgot to check if I could see that Pikachu's ability so if anyone can check that would be great). If you're able to check the opponent's ability in battle after catching it, that's not only going to make hunting for pokemon with certain abilities easier but will also make battling human opponents interesting.

There is also going to be additional stuff you can do after a certain amount of time has passed since downloading the demo. Assuming you download the demo today, these are the days something new will be available:
October 19 (1 Day after Downloading)
October 23 (5 Days after Downloading)
October 30 (12 Days after Downloading)
November 5 (18 Days after Downloading)
November 11 (24 Days after Downloading)

Once the game releases, you can go to the Pokemon Center and talk to Kukui and transfer over several things with the Pokemon Link. So far you can transfer Ash-Greninja, a nugget, a star piece, and some stardust. If you play the demo tomorrow, you'll be able to get 10 pretty wings.

Serebii should be updating this page as more things become available.

Here is the full list of Pokemon that will appear in Sun/Moon (listed by generation of origin):

There's speculation that the blank question mark spaces are Totem Pokemon since there is one after Gumshoos, Alolan Raticate, and Lurantis, all of which have been shown as Totem Pokemon in the trailers.

Here is a list of shinies for the new Pokemon. Even the Ultra Beasts are getting shiny forms.
My favorites are Cutiefly/Ribombee, Golden Freddy FazBewear, and Bowser's Castle Palosand. Poor Litten gets turned into a candy cane and Popplio suffers from barely-different-recolor syndrome.

Why do they keep making Alolan Dark types? I guess Alolan Golem etc are Dark types, because thats what a beard means.

So what Type is Long-Haired Dugtrio

I would really dig getting a shiny Alolan Raichu and Shiny Lunala. I'm also kinda laughing that Alolan Grimer's shiny is just the base color of a normal Grimer.

Actually, Alolan Grimer's green color is pretty much the same as a shiny Grimer. Knew that looked familiar.

I almost want to guess Alolan Geodue/Graveler/Golem are Rock/Electric because of those bits of yellow they have on them and the growth on top of Golem seems like something that could produce electricity, kinda like between the prongs on Elekid.

As for Alolan Dugtrio, the more prominent rock look at the base makes me think part Rock, but the hair throws me off. I was thinking normal, so...Rock/Normal, maybe?

How long does it take to beat the demo? I just want the free pokemans.

Depends on how fast you play it. For me, it took around 15-20 minutes. The only Pokemon you can get is Pikachu and Ash-Greninja. The Pikachu gets removed from your team after you beat Plumeria

You can also use Pikipek, Yungoose, Rockruff, and Pikachu you catch in the catching minigame until you exit said minigame. With the Pikachu you catch there you can use the Z Crystal with them as well.

I'm getting weird Yeto vibes from Crabrawler's evolution. I think it's the face.

Thinking about that, it'd be kinda cool if it were Ice/Fighting since I don't think that type combination exists yet. Don't think it'll happen, but it'd be neat considering Crabrawler is pure Fighting and tacking on a second type through an evolution wouldn't be hard.

I'm surprised nobody has called this (to my memory), but Lycanroc's Midday Form is a proper wolf, finally. And with it getting priority and focusing on speed, it makes me want to name one Soap.

Of course, I'm getting both versions, but with Pokemon Bank getting the Gen 7 patch in January, I'm going to save Moon for then, so I can do a proper run with a bunch of badass, IV bred Pokemon.

It's evo is based off a yeti crab (which is a deep sea animal that grows and eats bateria that live on it's crazy arm hair) while Crabrawler itself is literally just a colorful cartoon coconut crab, it has a lot of the corrct anatomy of the animal it's based on as well except cartoon eyes

I know this probably has been asked, but with the Pokédex leak from the data mine, is it the FULL Dex? People keep saying it's the full Dex, but I'm a little skeptical. They knew the data mining would happen, I'm sure they did something and removed some Pokemon. Maybe I'm just optimistic. I really wanted an evolved form of Mimikyuu and more fairies.

At this point I doubt they left anything out, the seven blocked out models are obviously the larger-than-normal Totem Pokemon since three of them follow after Alolan Raticate, Gumshoos, and Lurantis in the coding, three Pokemon confirmed to be totems in the full game, not to mention that if they removed Pokemon, why would they keep in all of the Ultra Beasts, marshadow, and the Box legend prevolutions, all pretty big spoilers in their own right.

I personally am hoping it's not the full dex, either, but logically it is. I doubt Nintendo would have gone out of their way to protect some Poke'mon from getting leaked rather than all of them.

It's a little disappointing, because that means the leaks from way back of Alolan Arcanine and lava-pig Poke'mon weren't true. Unless somehow these Poke'mon have yet to be coded into the games which, let's face it, that's not going to be a thing.

Perhaps those were to be included at some stage but scrapped for whatever reason because we apparently need more pokemon based on obscure marine life such as the coconut crab
I made this delightful diagram showing how weirdly anatomically accurate crabrawler is compared to a coconut crab. Key parts of the anatomy are highlighted and pointed out on the top left crab and the pokeman

The only thing on Crabrawler not added to it's design from the actual animal is the 3rd set of walking legs that develop as an adult crab (when coconut crabs are babies they use those legs to hold onto shells until they grow up and their abdomens harden, as they grow they turn into walking legs)
Looking at the design about the pink highlighted feelers could very well be were the eyes are on the actual animal.

For those hoping for more new mons than what were leaked:

Prepare to be dissapointed. All 6 ingame Pokedexs were datamined. There 1 one for each of the 4 islands, many of which have overlap(Pikipek for example is in most of them), making a total of 285 Pokemon available in the main game, notably Type: Null and its evolution, Magearna, Marshadow, Lunala/Solgaleo and their shared prevolutions, and the Ultra beasts are absent in all four.

They all appear in the Unified Alola dex however, and most importantly everything is accounted for in the National Dex. So in total there are 81 New Pokemon, 71 of which are normal Pokemon, followed by the 8 Ultra Beasts, who are themselves followed by this gens two Mythicals. so we have a total of 802 Pokemon now.

This lines up with the leaks that stated that 7th gen would introduce more Pokemon than 6th gen, but not by much (Gen 6 Had 72 new Pokemon, 69 regular and 3 Mythicals)
