I should be able to kick people from raids with simply dumb match ups. "OH its a water pokemon with a grass type tera...lemme pick my fire starter and die 4 times killing the timer."
There are more strats i feel with these raids but you have the people using the OP strats and then a solid group of retards choosing pokemon that die so fast it doesnt matter what 3 of 4 are doing.

I can't begin to understand why they changed away from a pure turn based system like SwSh. You had your timer to pick your action, everything happened, and then the next action selection phase happened. It's simple, it works, and in Game Freaks case, it already existed so they could have done even less work if they just copy pasted it. How did they manage to make S/V's raid battles have a worse version of the half turn-based system that existed in the original FF7 from 1997?

The timer system is extremely punishing compared to the limited number of turns/deaths allowed in the SwSh raids. Even in offline play with AI the raids are insanely laggy and the menu options are unresponsive half the time. It's also baffling that they'd force you to use their new gimmick mechanic in the higher star raids and then punish you for using it due to how long the animation is. They're worse on every level compared to the perfectly acceptable system that the SwSh raids were.

The big glowing columns of light in the sky pointing to the glowing rocks that are also marked on your map. Or, use the search function in the online menu of S/V. My brother in Christ you have to be just a little bit dense to miss them

i said in this thread before, but literally every other character in swsh was black and nobody really gave a shit
rika is the 'masculine, cool girl' archetype which is actually more common in anime than you might think.
saguaro's a little faggy, yeah, but if you meet with him and do the little side character arc interactions it's shown he's insecure about it and thinks people have expectations for him to be completely tough and masculine

i like the little side stories with the teachers, they're cute :)

the trainer npcs are fucking UGGO though.

I google'd "ポリコレ" "ポケモンsv"* and got over 200K results, so I think a lot of people in Japan are talking about that.

Anyway I think the best generation is 6 because of ORAS. Also I think AS is the best game of Gen 6. If SV brought back that "battle test" thing and some kind of flying, it may be a game I could like. Especially if diving and secret bases were also brought back.

Call me MATI, but as far as I am concerned, remaking RS instead of E was an absolutely retarded move. Same with BDSP instead of Platinum.

Honestly the only character design in SV I can call "woke" is Penny because she looks like a stereotypical danger hair lesbian and acts like one too. There's more brown skinned characters than a lot of entries but considering where the games location is based off, that's too be expected. You see several character designs that are more unconventional (buff/chunky women for example) for minor trainers as well, but that's a pretty decent example of "realistic diversity" instead of the woke type.

Ain't a waifufag, but it's also just dishonest to say there's no conventionally attractive characters in the game. What I think these raging retards are really upset about is that none of the characters designs are explicitly coombait this time around like fucking Nessa.
 
Weirdly enough, the only trainers I see with much diversity to their design are the (alleged) students. They run the gamut from little kid to fat old man which is fucking wild. On the other hand, every musician, artist, courier, black belt, dragon master, taxi man, etc. are literal swaps of one another which I guess is marginally more work than the identical trainer sprites of yore but still: lmao. Even the Muscle Girls of Paldea are the exact same type as one another.

That's just how Japanese RPGs do NPCs, Dragon Quest is the same way with body types.
 
Charizard Raids are up again. Caught one on my first try with a team that only had one Marril and wasn’t even really using the method. Also got two shiny Toadscools and a shiny gogoat in about an hour’s span right before.

I haven’t had any real problems with the raids aside from the idiots who only join to show off their shinies. Other than that, I just grab a brainless Mon of my own and go to town. I got an ability patch for my Skeledirge and just wail on anything weak to Fire with Torch Song. Even if it’s not weak to fire, if it’s actual type is, he can do really well with it too. The hidden ability is Unaware.

Belly Drum Iron Hands is also a really good mon to use. It’s not too hard to train up a Pokémon that can break Raids if need be.

Also, for those having issues getting Herbs…

No joke, I fought a Cetitan that dropped four herbs and an ability patch at once.
 
Still shiny hunting Latias in BDSP. I like it though the originals had more charm to them and ORAS still blows it out of the water. Why can't sinnoh get any of that passion put behind it?
 
Got my first wild shiny since a shiny Psyduck in Crystal all those years ago, a shiny Drifloon. I will love him and raise him like a son
