Mostly comical jank then. It'll still be far from the worst game I've ever played and I knew what I was getting into when I played Two Worlds.
Lucky you, I was sold Two Worlds with the promise that it was better than Oblivion. Like what was said in the video, though, you kind of expect more than "at least it's playable" from one of the highest-grossing media franchises in the world.

So I'm exploring the first route and I find and catch a Pawmi by two palm trees overlooking the ocean. I'm wondering if there's any other interesting rare spawns so I start running back and forth in the field and boom, shiny pig within 5 minutes. I didn't even want to train a Lechonk.

I went with water duck because it seemed like like the least popular. I don't have an online subscription right now but I plan on renewing this weekend. I know people will probably want a Quaxly for their dex entries so it's good trading fodder.

Someone should make a Stonetoss esque comic of a guy telling another guy why he keeps buying Fifa/Madden every year when the overall quality keeps dropping, and the next panel the camera cuts down and the first guy has a Pokémon T-shirt.

I enjoyed my time with it this early morning. There were some small issues I had but nothing that overall ruined my experience. Occasionally, there would be frame stutters. There was also some post intro cutscene prompt that cleared itself before I could even react to or read it. Beyond that, I found myself just getting lost looking for Pokemon to add to the team I was going to use to clear the story.

A tip though. If you find yourself needing money in the early game, don't be afraid to sell those Gimmighoul coins. Gimmighouls respawn so they're not too bad to reacquire.

So I've heard the soso reviews but I haven't played one of these since Alpha Sapphire. I understand the popin stuff is 'bad' but most people post the worst examples and I tend to deal with that better than most...Kind of looking forward into cracking this open this weekend/holiday.

I've also just been craving a turn based monster collector since I've exhausted my time with SMT V..I tend to play these type of games between rounds of online multiplayer stuff.

This generation by far has some of the most boring, uninspired pokemon designs in the series. Most of them are either furry coombait or just get bigger. And Quaxly... poor, poor Quaxly... he didn't deserve to be given the Inteleon treatment. Game Freak did him dirty big time.

I did like the dough dog's evo though. That one was okay.

Glad the reviews are not all giant praise fests like in previous instances.

Also glad that outside of performance issues, the games themselves seem to be great. Gen 9 will be a good time.

I find most of them to be okay. The best ones are def the ones used as promotional material but I do like the Paradox mons a lot.

IGN shat all over the game's tech issues in their Nintendo podcast, despite saying the game was otherwise largely good. Funny enough I suspect a lot of their specific complaints regarding bugs were already fixed by now. Guess we'll have to wait a few days to find out.

TBF IGN had the too much water so you gotta take any and all opinions they have, particularly about pokemon, with a meteorite of salt

They're right though, Ruby/Sapphire had fuck all for things to do and having half of the map just be featureless surfing didn't help that.

Part of it is the game just doesn't run well on a stock switch, at all. The bugs i've been seeing are mostly like, massive frame drops and having to redraw the environment whenever the game has to cut to a new angle. Also, remember, GF was NEVER good at programming, just look at how long it took them to bring out the original pokemon and how shoddy the end product was. That never really changed unless someone like Iwata got involved.
