I'm not sure what to think still since I now gotta crawl through Poni. Please tell me it'll get more interesting.

It does. One big problem with US/UM is that it takes a long bloody while to see any significant changes from the first games. The other big problem is that it's still a lackluster region that has interesting concepts that will end up getting thrown out a generation later.

Haha, reminds me of Generation One, where you'd carry a Grass/Poison type into Erica's gym. Because of the "Grass" Type, the game automatically makes the Pokemon use Poison moves, but since you're also Poison type, you're immune.

I always just used an Oddish with Cut to beat Erica back in the day.

Actually in Red/Blue Posion was super effective against Grass/Poison types..they just couldn't be poisoned. I remember having a super hard time against Koga with my Venusaur.

No it wasn't, Poison resisted Poison in Gen 1 Still. Bug and Poison, however, were weak against eachother in Gen 1, so Grass/Poison types were x4 weak against Bug and Parasect was x4 weak against Poison

Parasect has some hilariously crippling weaknesses, I'd feel sorry for it if it weren't a creepy abomination.

Are you totally sure? i'm positive my Venusaur took Super effective damage from Sludge and the like..

Ended up getting a Toxapex for my team in Ultra Moon. I'm having so much fun with him; Toxic/Venoshock with Merciless is an absolute blast to unleash on your opponents.

Nope, that's not how it worked at all, but the messages for "It's super effective" and "It's not very effective" are bugged to hell, but usually how it fails is that the message normally only takes the second type of a two-typed Pokemon into account, I've never heard of it using the first type instead. It doesn't effect the actual damage, just the message shown when the attack hits.

40 minutes....40 minutes to find a wild Bisharp yesterday. Fml.

I never used a Stoutland back in 5th Gen, but I'm really impressed by my pupper. For a super common normal type, it's got some really solid stats and some really cool abilities to play with. Really underrated Pokemon imo.

I always hated it because it was bulky and it always slowed things down in the hands of enemy trainers.

Which technically is a compliment for the mustache doggo.

So I faced Necrozma...
That is by far the worst battle I have ever played in an actual pokemon game. This is shitty rom hack levels of bullshit, like fucking Ruby Destiny series of bullshit.

This isn't balanced at all, you literally have to cheese it. Otherwise Ultra Necrozma one shots everything before you can do anything and you can't even run away to move on with the plot.

I had to use a Focus Sash with Comfey to deal Toxic, use Draining Kiss to weaken it, start Hail with A-Ninetales, and watch it die as my party gets slaughtered. There's no fun in having to cheese the definition of a shitty rom hack pokemon. I even grinded to lv. 60 and still get one shot before I can do anything.

There's people who used Z-moves, Affection, a Zoura/Zoroark, etc. but the thing is, what about people who choose not to use that? The thing that makes the battles fun is the combination and variance of things you can do to win.
Having to resort to purely this type of tactic because Ultra Necrozma has good coverage (2 moves it doesn't learn naturally), an ability that beefs the shit out of super effective moves along with its stat boosts to one shot everything in seconds is poor game design.

I'm surprised there's people who not only liked this but want all legendary battles to be like that.
The Totem Battles are more balanced than this, at least they give you a chance to do something. Lusamine's battles with her Cosmic Power-spamming Clefable was balanced. Ultra Necrozma isn't.

Not to mention, Lillie and Nebby were literally a waste of space in the plot when the Ultra Recon Squad had their own damn Lunala for Lusamine to use, and yet she still needs Nebby instead because it's a leftover from the previous game and they didn't bother to alter this at all for the storyline.

It kinda makes it difficult to continue playing after all that. I have both games, so that means I'll see it again too.

I ended up using Focus Sash Malamar to cheese Ultra Necrozma. Topsy-Turvy to invert those stat boosts, in order to make it more manageable. Granted, I caught Inkay upon seeing it, having played Sun before, and knowing that Topsy-Turvy would come in handy for Totem Mons. Ultra Necrozma still wiped a good deal of my mons out, before another was able to finish it off.

Right now, I'm just fucking around with the Ultra Wormholes, seeing what I can see.

Here are some fun facts, not about Pokemon but Gamefreak.

Gamefreak does not and never has belonged to Nintendo, they are an independent company. However, even though they make the games they only own one third of Pokemon's copyrights, the other two thirds of the rights belong to Nintendo and Creatures Inc.(Who actually is a 2nd party company to Nintendo unlike Gamefeak). This is why the Pokemon games have never been on non-nintendo systems outside of some mobile phone/smartphone titles, some Sega Pico edutainment games, and some PC CD Rom "games" that were mostly available in the late 90s.

However, since the company itself does not belong to nintendo, they have and still do make games for non-nintendo platforms. One of their most famous is Pulseman, a platformer exclusive to the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, but they also made Click Medic for the PS1, Tembo the Badass Elephant for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam, and Giga Wrecker for Steam(unlike past games Giga Wrecker is not only developed but also published by Gamefreak, so it has the budget fitting an indy title since they are, even with Pokemon's success, a small-sized company that usually gets most of their games' budget from much larger publishers, usually Nintendo or Sega)

The fight's called the light that burns the casuals for a reason. I thunder waved it then used stat boosting items to prevent it from one-shotting me. It's not cheesing, it's getting good.

@Dunsparce is Creatures Inc. the same as Ape Inc., who produced Earthbound?

Because I heard that was the reason Giegue heavily resembled Mewtwo.

They did the puzzle game "Yoshi's Egg" which I didn't think was very fun.

Like I have previously predicted, Crystal is now coming to the Virtual Console. What I DIDN'T expect was them to make the in-game Celebi event available(First time for non Japanese versions, could only unlock that event with glitches and cheat codes previously). Also allows us to FINALLY get Shiny Celebi, which was the only Pre-Gen V Pokemon to not be available as Shiny legally.

I wish I could get it now.

For some stupid ass reason, my 3DS is unable to download Virtual Console. I guess its because, digitally, my region (The Caribbean) just doesn't support it.
