I bought White when it came out, fully knowing the whole uno-reverso legendary/name split, and got zekrom, even though reshirsm was my favorite. It's just that petilil and solosis were exclusive to white, and I liked them over cottonee and gothita.

Ironically, if you want to use Lilligant in BW then Black is actually the better version to play since while there's no wild Petilil in that version, you can trade a Cottonee to someone in Nacrene for a Petilil that comes with a Modest nature and guaranteed perfect Special Attack IV plus as a traded Pokemon it gets a bonus on all EXP gained, which is all better than almost any Petilil you could catch yourself in White.

chat, what are your top five mons from each gen?
I have something like this already on the backburner albeit in much larger detail. So although it's not exactly what the instructions said, it's close enough.

PKMNChart V2.webp
In no particular order
I: Porygon, Lapras, Magneton, Zapdos, Sandsdrew.
II: Skarmory, Xatu, Noctowl, Kingdra, Scizor.
III: Aggron, Cacturne, Breloom, Flygon, Marshtomp.
IV: Rotom, Honchcrow, Magnezone, Yanmega, Mismagius.
V: Serperior, Sigilyph, Chandelure, Haxorus, Bisharp. (It always reminded me of Emile from Halo Reach for some reason)
VI: Noivern, Aegislash, Dragalge, Trevenant, Clauncher.
VII: Vikavolt, Kommo-o, Araquanid, Dhelmise, Decidueye.
From here on now, it's based on looks only.
VIII: Dragapult, Corviknight, Inteleon, Grimmsnarl, Hisuan Zoroark. (Idk why it took them so long to make a mon based on a stealth bomber, literally the coolest idea both in paper and practice)
IX: Ceruledge, Paldean Quagsire, Spidops, Glimmora, Iron Valiant. (I genuinely had to look up the names for all of them, they are that forgettable.)
I have no idea what's going on anymore this past month, so have a rando video that randomly got recommended to me.
Soundfont remixes are either a diamond in the rough or a complete tonal clusterfuck, no in-betweens. This is certainly the first one, the whole channel gimmick is pretty interesting as well.

I mostly rate these for their design, but a few of them are here due to my personal experiences with them.

Gen I: Alakazam, Nidoking, Sandslash, Butterfree, Clefable
Gen II: Heracross, Tyranitar, Porygon2, Ariados, Feraligatr
Gen III: Armaldo, Dusclops, Milotic, Mightyena, Jirachi
Gen IV: Magnezone, Bronzong, Porygon-Z, Toxicroak, Cresselia
Gen V: Lilligant, Chandelure, Golurk, Audino, Druddigon
Gen VI: Sliggoo, Pangoro, Gourgeist, Meowstic, Chesnaught
Gen VII: Magearna, Golisopod, Stakataka, Lurantis, Araquinid (I actually wish I could've made it a top 10 instead, Alola pokemon go really hard imo)
Gen VIII: Alcremie, Corviknight, Toxicitry, Dragapult, Regieleki
Gen IX: Tinkaton, Ceruledge, Revavroom, Annihilape, Garganacl

I'm seeing that argument a lot, where they will bring up the "old man yells at clouds" line as if depending on your age, and in this case it's the older you are, your opinion means nothing... you know, even though you were around gaming from the beginning and realize WHY it's continuing to shit the bed. It doesn't even have to be about gaming and they will still use this argument.

And i'm sure a new NPC line will be made once this argument fails to work, as they continue to bury their heads in the sand while the rest of us see the writing on the wall for what it is.
The stock argument is that Pokémon is ultimately a franchise aimed at children, which would mean that focusing on older gamers, despite the money potential they have, would be missing the point of the game series, hence why the game series is focusing on making the games more towards children. There is also a stigm against adults being exceptionally invested at a game aimed at children, too.

Of course, Citra was taken down as collateral damage when Nintendo took down Yuzu, so you have to find a mirror of it, I think it's on Internet Archive. I know there's at least a couple groups who have technically made Citra forks to continue working on it, but I haven't heard anything about them doing anything substantial.
I used Lime3DS, but lately Azahar is the one wi the active development.

any recommendations for GBA or DS/3DS Emulators? The actual ROM's are the easy part, and I'm mostly leaving ROMHacks for if I decide I hate myself.
Personally I find getting emulators easier than getting ROMs, mainly because downloading emulators isn't actually illegal so you can do it without a care in the world. The Emulation General Wiki has some good info on emulators and direct links for downloads.

For DS there are two main options, MelonDS and DeSmuME. I have both.
MelonDS has less features overall, but it has online features while DeSmuME never will, and I heard that DeSmuME's current dev is a faggot who hates Pokemon and refuses to add certain features to his emulator just to inconvenience Pokemon players.

This Ebony Motherfucker is the Final Boss of Garbage Defanding. Pokemon Games are a Scam, Child Exploration & this Übernormie says " It was'nt made for you, let People enjoy, you're old" Whe should shame People, who just want to consume Media & aren't Critical!
Who does he think the Kanto pandering is for? The fans there since the start, of course. You think Little Jimmy, age ten, cares about Gen I? No, it's the people in their 30s or older that were there for the beginning of the franchise.

I know some parts of the franchise kind of pushed Zekrom more
I think it's a western/japanese split. Zekrom looks blocky and dino to me but I've also heard people refer to Reshiram as an overgrown chicken.
While I'm here, here's a poll held I think at the same time for favorite BW human character. The blue and pink boxes in the bottom-right corner breaks down who boys and girls most voted for.
For the life of me I will never understand the Jap's obsession with the Ingo and Emmet. At least Skyla beat Elesa.

I'm aware, but again - why? Of all the characters, why the two that you interact with a minimum of one time?
You'd have to ask them, but I've got some ideas.
・Snazzy outfits that make them look tall (they're actually not particularly tall in reality from what I can find, but that's unimportant).
・The white gloves give emphasis to their hands and make it look like they have big hands.
・Contrasting outfits and personalities, easy for autistic girls to understand.
・They're twin brothers, and there's a quite a few fujos into that (because you're already a degenerate schlicking off to gay gays fucking, having it be incest too is only a stone toss away, see also all the fujos into Osomatsu or Supernatural)

Observe their body types and deduce the reasoning for yourself.

Guess I was never brainrotted enough to make the connections, even the gloves didn't register as yaoi hands.

This is not correct.

Kids fucking love Charizard and Pikachu. They kind of like Mew. Only adults obsess over the other Gen 1 mons.

Kids want a combination of mainstream popular and new things that are "for them". Kids are also stupid and think having a Feucoco and a Charizard in their 6 together is peak pokemoning. And cant you see how good they are at pokemon?! They crushed all the gym leaders and even the main story!
