I really want to find a Porygon.

So what's the strongest wild Pokemon you guys have come across? Mine is a 512 CP Hitmonchan that I just caught in my apartment complex.
Strongest wild for me so far was a 331 butterfree. Strongest overall though was an egg-hatched Rhyhorn at 388 (still haven't even seen a silhouette of one in the wild).
I know how ya feel though Steel, there's so many pokemon that just never seem to show up anywhere except in the possession of other players

There's a few that just appear at random. It's how I caught a Clefairy while getting ready to take on a Gym.

That does seem to be true, some of them appear to be pure RNG- I've seen two Exeggcute so far, completely at random, at places that normally just show up the usual pidgey/ratata/zubat trifecta.

Installed it 3 days ago and pretty good so far. More addicting than I thought (battles suck but better than nothing I guess)

Small % of my catches from today & yesterday (trainer Lv.8):

Lure Model Experiment 1 was a failure. Might be because it was cloudy and cold, but nobody showed up except a kid that just passed by.

Strangely though, I've seen people camp two seperate gym locations.

One of my Pokéstops in my town is literally just a brick wall. Another is a concrete tube used for carpark ventilation but the game says it's "1970s Concrete Art".
I didn't see this mentioned so far, sooo apparently weather affects the Pokémon that appears.
Rain brings water types (can confirm sort of, I only see Shellders and Horseas near my house when the forecast is rain, they didn't appear today at all and it's sunny)
Sunny days bring fire types (found a Ponyta and saw a Growlithe, forecast sunny)
Thunderstorms bring electric types. Evidenced by Null's Raichu I guess.

I also read that fire types turn up at gas stations but that hasn't happened for me yet and grass/bug types are in parks (recognised ones with big green blocks on the map at least) but I still haven't seen ANY Pokémon there and I wasn't willing to hang out very long because a load of gypsys moved in nearby within the last day or two :c

“What if this technology is transferred to Islamic jihadists and the Islamic jihadists have an app that shows them where Christians are located geographically?”

:story:
Fuck, I thought you were making that one up.

Encountered an Arcanine with a CP of ??? the other day, but it got away, was thoroughly disappointed.
On the bright side though, my 400CP-ish Evee evolved into a 1k+ CP Vaporeon.

There are three poke spots in my area, and one of them is right next to a registered sex offender's house. Apparently the dude got caught with child porn, which is a bit concerning because there are two parks nearby, both have gyms and one of them is just passed the Poke stop.
