I had to work on Saturday, when a lot of the server issues went away, so I didn't get to claim one of the nearby gyms. I've tried beating some of the nearby ones, but they have some strong Pokemon there.

I live in a decent sized suburb of the largest city in my state, so there are at least what seems to be a pretty large number of pokespots, gyms, and wild Pokemon near me. Every time I've gone out, I've seen people playing, especially around a local park. I haven't spoken to any of them, since most are teenagers or look like they live in their mom's basement and haven't been outside in a decade, but still.

I hatched a 10km egg, as well as a few 2km and 5km eggs, earlier today. I am now sunburnt as fuck. (Some of it was from doing yard work and my job keeping me outdoors.)

When I was out running errands today I tried the whatever location that was at the cafe in the store I was at, but it didn't seem to do anything. And there was already some neckbeard camped there so I didn't want to hang out long enough to get a conversation attack.

If you want enough PokeCandies for a Gyarados, it's recommended that you walk around any beach. The Magikarps all seem to spawn there.
Well that's me somewhat out of luck. The nearest beach from here is about 45 minutes drive or more away. May have to do a pokemon roadtrip.
Anyone else tested the day/night cycle theory?

I decided to wait a few days before giving this game a shot and I agree that out in the country playing this game sucks. I first tried the game at my boyfriends house and deadzone although we did get a few pokemon popping up but going into the city makes the difference. We saw lots of people playing the game, mostly in their 20s. Saw a couple walking around with their small child but it was the adults playing the game. I don't think there are many actual children playing the game.

It would be nice if after you reached level 5 and after you pick your team it would ask if you would like a tutorial on how to battle. At first I thought it was going to be like in the gameboy games but silly me for making that assumption. Once I got to level 5 I immediately tried the gym but then got my rear end handed to me. I did figure out that tapping the screen did some damage.

Right now it is a novelty going out and seeing what pokemon I can find in my town, but unless they add something more to it I don't see anything keeping me drawn to the game.

So here's a few things I didn't expect. First pic is at one of my local gyms. Second was sent to me by a mate.

Got around to installing the app on my phone, and even though it's not officially out on the German App Store yet, the program's already running in German and a bunch of the gyms in my area have been claimed. There's also far more Pokestops than I expected, which I don't mind.

I got the game Thursday and I had to jump through hoops to get it. Friday and Saturday I went to a convention and there were quite a few Poke spots but the great thing about it was that the vendors would use lures on the ones closest to them, constantly. My friend and I went a Poke spot heavy area the other day and at any given time there were at least twenty other people around playing the game, minimum. I got a Kingler, a Pikachu, and a 250 Nidorina.

I played for 5 hours yesterday. It wasn't sunny or hot and I got fucking sunburned.

Caught a Porygon, Bulbasaur and Squirtle tho
I really want to find a Porygon.

So what's the strongest wild Pokemon you guys have come across? Mine is a 512 CP Hitmonchan that I just caught in my apartment complex.
