SS is usually the ranking in games which have trials or whatever. It usually goes; F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS.

Although what S actually stands for is beyond me. I always found that weird.
 
Usually 'special'. Or 'super'. Possibly both. It's one of those English words the Japanese seem to be in love with, for some reason.
 
I'm probably going to make some enemies saying this, but I've got to get it off my chest. I really don't post in the Pixyteri thread much because I'd kinda be ashamed to be involved in it with the way it is right now, even though she's an exemplary lolcow. I say that last part so it'll (hopefully) be clear that I'm not white-knighting. The girl's a fucking lunatic, she sucks at cosplay (from what I can judge at least, I don't really know anything about it) and sucks even harder at photoshopping. She's awful in ways that are uniquely hilarious and completely deserving of ridicule and yet for everything she has to offer that's worth making fun of, I see people hone in on her weight way, way too much. Even though she is overweight, simple fact is she's not that abnormal (certainly not by American standards) and I think on some level, we're all aware of that. Even past that point her body isn't what made her a lolcow.

Now, given how fond she is of sticking her ass up in the camera, I can't say I expect people to never comment on her weight, but it just seems to bring out the worst in their capacity to do so. I've seen decent, intelligent forumers say some of the most garden variety douchey things about her body, particularly within the past few pages. It's a bit disappointing, to say the least. Not really expecting anybody to agree with me on any of this, it's just something that's been in my head for awhile, and I figured I might as well get it out.
 
Fair points all around. Her weight is NOT what makes her a lolcow, although it is what people latch onto because, well, you just wanna lob insults at every part of her. I personally do not think Pixyteri's weight is an issue in her lolcow status--I don't care that she's overweight, I don't even care that she's overweight and thinks she's sexy and shows off on camera. If I did I'd be a hypocrite. I'm certainly not skinny, but I make my living as a model. She is actually capable of dressing her body well and looking decent. The problem most people have that involves her weight is the fact that she is in complete denial of her reality. She thinks she's a lot skinnier than she is, sort of like a reverse body dysphoria--to the point where she actually thinks tape measures are off by several inches. She racks up insane amounts of debt buying clothes from Asia intended for much smaller people because she's in denial about her actual body size. It's one of the biggest things she is STILL in denial over--although perhaps not as much as she lets on, since she obviously shops the hell out of her pictures in an effort to make herself look skinnier. Maybe she just thinks the cameras are lying, too, like tape measures. She doesn't have her Japan delusions anymore, she doesn't have her idoru delusions anymore, she doesn't have her internet popularity delusions anymore... but still she has her body delusions.

I'm not saying she has to hate herself for being overweight. She doesn't have to stop taking photos because of her weight. She can wear skirts as short as she wants and everything. But she just looks really pathetic when she is in such deep denial over something that is pretty freaking obvious, much the same as Chris's denial of his own weight problems.

I don't really have a problem with Pixy's weight. The thing that really grosses me out about her photos is the age-play. A thirty-something trying to look like a kindergartener really disturbs me. Also, the way she poses in her photos reminds me of a certain someone. :tomgirl:

Her weight in and of itself doesn't bother me. Hell, I'm a fat boy myself. What bothers me about her weight is A. She doesn't dress appropriately for her weight and B. She is in complete denial about being tubby. She thinks she's some petite kawaii desu desu Nippon geisha princess in an anime. She's batshit delusional.
 
Basically this^. Really, her weight is like Rika's crossdressing, in that it's more the cinnamon on the sundae, than the main target of derision
 
Pixy herself comments on other people's cosplay stuff and calls them fat, undeserving, ugly, or a combination of all three. Sometimes the way you treat people comes right back to you full-tilt boogie, so she deserves it.

That's what I wanted to say all along with the fat acceptance thread, but I couldn't find the right words. Thanks.

I've never made fun of pixy's size, just her horrible choices in clothing, and some of the wackadoo things she'd tweeted about.
 
I also think what people are reacting to in her pictures -- I know I am, anyway -- is that all of the smiles look fake and all of the cutesy pouts fail hard because of this intense look in her eyes of total rage. Blinding rage. Like how she was Facebooking about hating everything and everybody and not being able to enjoy anything ever because her mother took a DNA test and it came back "you are pretty durn white." She wants the viewer, hopefully a rich male Japanese viewer, to be sexually attracted to that butt that she is shoving at the camera in so many shots. Fine. There are people who would probably enjoy that, but because they're not this guy James who looks like that anime dude from Bleach, she hates them. It's the same way all these women give her asspats on Facebook and Twitter, and she shoots them down or blocks them for attempting to be nice to her. My last girlfriend was pleasantly plump. No problems there. But she didn't also have a look in her eyes that said, "If you do not say exactly the right things to, or around, me, I will fucking shank you."

Well I certainly don't mock her for being, let's say, chunky.

There's nothing wrong with some excess on a woman by all means, more to love. I'd rather hug a larger woman than a stick insect (but there are limits of course). My problem with Pixy is how she has no dignity. There are cosplay outfits suited to larger women out there, I've seen them and they look pretty damn good. What Pixy does is sheer blindness and denial about her weight.

When a woman is Pixy's size there are two options:

1) Be happy with yourself and wear stuff that fits.
2) If you're not happy, work at getting a figure that suits you.

See how denial doesn't fit in anywhere?
 
At this point I'm just mimicking what people are saying but Pixy's weight doesn't bother me - the way she shoves herself into things that are at least 2 (Asian, no less) sizes too small and then has the gall to complain how the manufacturer didn't produce it correctly bothers me. The way she talks about other females bothers me. And the way she refuses to even make an attempt at a functional adult life bothers me.
Also she always looks like an angry Bea Arthur/Jay Leno hybrid. I guess I'm guilty of thinking that. A lot.

This, my god. She's openly jealous of literally all black women because her twoo wuv, in an attempt to get rid of her, told her he was marrying a black woman. I cringe to think what she's Tweeted about Lupita Nyong'o. And redheads are on her shit list too. And she called someone's Bleach cosplay "pitiful," and stuck by that opinion even when chided on Twitter for it, because the cosplayer in question was a conventionally attractive, young, slender blonde with her costume open all the way down her very impressive cleavage. Someone on staminarose screencaps her Tweets, and I have literally never seen her tweet something positive or appreciative about a woman who wasn't in her very, very narrow circle of friends, or frenemies.
 
And if another girl has ANY surplus pudge anywhere on her body at all, she latches onto them and calls them a fatass. I'm convinced that you could take one of her older, less-well-known (and unedited) cosplay pictures, carefully photoshop someone else's face onto it, change the background, and otherwise leave it unaltered, and show it to her and she's go on a rampage about how the bitch is a fatass and ugly and her cosplay sucks.

...actually this experiment needs to happen...
