More surprised (and disappointed) that no one's cracked it.
It's not worth it. Just reading the cracker's commentary on how the "pro" version works makes it sound like a complete pain in the ass to deal with even when it's working, much less trying to "crack" it. It's simply not worth the trouble; the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

There are far better alternatives, both free and not (and the paid ones are cracked), out there compared to chinkware video editing junk. JFC even Adobe Premiere is easier to pirate than this piece of shit, and as much as I hate Adobe for their bullshit, nobody can convince me this chinkware is in any way superior to Premiere.

Currently downloading Davinci Resolve. Almost done after 3 1/2 hours.

lol yeah I was a bit surprised it's a 4GB fucking download these days for version 21. WTF have they shoehorned into the god damn thing?

On the plus side, they provide a native Linux binary now and it actually works, so at least there's that.
Actually, I got curious about this, and I had a hunch, and it turns out I was right. Homies don't know how to package their shit.

There's four copies of libQt6WebEngineCore.so.6, a 188MB file, so totaling 752MB just for one library copied four times. They could have symlinked it three times for the AdminUtility subdirectories that use it, and it'd work just fine, but nah, let's just pack it in four times over. It's not stripped either. Doing that reduces it to 130MB, or "only" 520MB. A handful of libraries and binaries are properly stripped, but many aren't. The main binary "resolve" is stripped (whew), but plenty of the library files were not only not stripped, but also were debug builds (again, the main binary is a release build). In fact all three folders in "AdminUtility" each ship the same 245MB of library files, which again can be symlinked for two of them so there's only one copy. So that's another 490MB wasted.

Just looking at it for ten minutes, fucking around with symlinks and the strip command, I was able to trim the installed footprint by about 850MB. Throwing upx at everything it would touch (with default settings) further reduced the final size by another 2422MB, so all told I was able to reduce the total on-disk footprint of the installed application from 7,313MB down to about 4,041MB (so a savings of about 45%), and it all still runs fine.
TL;DR: they didn't strip debug symbols from most files, duplicated a lot of libraries that could have been symlinked instead, and didn't compress anything; strip+dedupe-and-symlinks saved 850MB and upx saved another 2,422MB, so they literally wasted 3.2GB in duplicate or unneeded junk by packaging it for Linux the way they did. I'm sure the Windows build is worse (it almost always is -- Visual Studio has a lot of options for optimizing builds and developers rarely 1) bother, 2) get it right). Leaving debugging symbols in the final release build is a classic rookie mistake though. :story:

Props to them for actually using Qt6 instead of desperately clinging to Qt5 like so many shops have done though. No sign of the Qt5-to-6 compatibility shim either, so it's a native Qt6 application. Resolve has been around a good long time so that was probably not the easiest transition in the world.

Software developers are not automatically good "software packagers" or "software builders." At least the application is good enough to justify forgiving this ... less-than-ideal effort to package it for Linux.

As penance for the last page or so of my retardation, I come bearing a gift found in the depths of my torrented film collection - a gangsta midget who breaks into houses via doggy doors and is fittingly referred to as Doggy Door by her fellow gang members:

So i found a Walmart brand (onn) android tv unopened on the side of the road. What's a good piracy use for it?
Sideload a replacement Home Screen app (to get rid of the baked-in adwave in the built-in one), use ADB to disable built-in apps you won't use, throw Kodi or Jellyfin on it, play local (LAN) media or stream from whatever sources you already use. Onns are actually pretty good little units. Much less intrusive than Fire TV (especially the "new" non-Android custom-baked OS version they sell now).

I am new to sources in the past I would hook up laptop up to my TV got to fmhy and stream it that way. Very jank very ghetto

Jellyfin can be ran on Android TV
Are there good retard level guides on how to do it?

Recommend and home screen apps in particular? Also would i be able to get 5.1 surrounded sound or does that come from downloading only?
I sheepishly (and with all the love in the world) respond to your spoonfeeding request with a blast from the firehose instead :story:

Joking aside, Projectivy Launcher is well-regarded and recommended. There's a paid version that adds shit you don't need; the free version is fine (and doesn't include ads or any garbage). Installation details here.

No clue about 5.1 surround (I don't bother with it on the garbage speakers I have at home), but all the Onn models sold in 2026 support Dolby Vision + Atmos at least. It's almost always a "can it just send the audio data to the fucking speakers or not?" question, and the answer on these devices is "yes, they can."

Man truly lives up to his name
Why make you guess when I can just tell?

Before I go trolling through the list of streaming sites on movies-play.com, does anyone have a good replacement for the late XPrime? I prefer to watch movies before torrenting so I know how much space I'm willing to sacrifice on my hard drive.

Okay guys...awhile ago somebody wrote a script to get around the animated movie paywall on wcofun. While I can find this stuff on other places, wcofun still has the largest archives and easiest blockable ads. Is there anybody around here who knows how to update this script to get it working again?

the Wolphin client works with Jellyfin server and is a lot nicer looking

But I do find Android tv to be a little fussy with Jellyfin, but then again I got a Chinese generic one off AliExpress hoping I could do light gaming off it and it turns out to have software bugs and no identifiable way to update it.

Goddamn it, YIFY:

How does it make these connections? I need to know how it considers Disney's Robin Hood to be similar to a satirical slasher movie.
