Actually, I got curious about this, and I had a hunch, and it turns out I was right. Homies don't know how to package their shit.
There's four copies of libQt6WebEngineCore.so.6, a 188MB file, so totaling 752MB just for one library copied four times. They could have symlinked it three times for the AdminUtility subdirectories that use it, and it'd work just fine, but nah, let's just pack it in four times over. It's not stripped either. Doing that reduces it to 130MB, or "only" 520MB. A handful of libraries and binaries are properly stripped, but many aren't. The main binary "resolve" is stripped (whew), but plenty of the library files were not only not stripped, but also were debug builds (again, the main binary is a release build). In fact all three folders in "AdminUtility" each ship the same 245MB of library files, which again can be symlinked for two of them so there's only one copy. So that's another 490MB wasted.
Just looking at it for ten minutes, fucking around with symlinks and the strip command, I was able to trim the installed footprint by about 850MB. Throwing upx at everything it would touch (with default settings) further reduced the final size by another 2422MB, so all told I was able to reduce the total on-disk footprint of the installed application from 7,313MB down to about 4,041MB (so a savings of about 45%), and it all still runs fine.
