If I had to guess, he amped up the brightness, plugged in one of those Android default filters on top, added a vignette, used the blur filter, and then put a pretty Facebook sticker on it.....after he used Facebook image editing to add more filters.
I'm wondering if Toren has him on a leash (not literally) to stop him tarding out. So he's trying to communicate his state of mind without posting a long rambling monologue. I notice Toren himself has also quietened down a lot lately.
He's also been getting doughier and doughier, so maybe that's part of it.

I have no doubt Toren is so dominant. He slaps phil on his sausage-fingers quite often I guess. Also Greta advised phil to tone down probably. I just noticed phil doesnt put on make up so often? I must say that Chris is in front and by far the better cow atm.
I think for the sort of cringe boudoir shots he's taking at home he has more time so he ups the filters. He actually has pretty smooth skin for someone who was living rough so long but compare with this picture @John Webster first posted here and you can see he's starting to get some crow's feet around his eyes that the filter covers up. Plus the blurriness adds volume to his heavily thinning hair. As terrible as he makes himself look he's still quite vain.

Just when I thought his selfies couldn't get any uglier. I'm not sure whether he's trying to snarl or smile at the camera, and those headphones barely fit around his fat neck. He always seems to find a way to accentuate his obesity instead of hiding it.

The relatively good skin condition can be accounted for by the fact that he didn't sleep very rough. Couch surfing and motels won't take the same toll that actually legit being on the street in all weathers will.
I think we'd get more successful photoshopping if he had any self-awareness. He thinks he passes as this sexy riot grrrrl, as opposed to the sort of blob-thing he is. If he knew what he really looked like, I don't doubt but we'd get Labelle-level photoshopping.
