I'm not even counting the off-topic thread.
Honestly, if they did ban Pewd's YT channel, that would be pretty devastating for the site. Yada yada cutting off your nose to spite your face yada yada. I would hope the folks in charge of the ban hammer at YT would recognize how monumentally stupid a thing like banning him would be.

Corporations have been trying their best to get SJW bucks recently.
There was that pepsi ad a few months back, starbucks pledged to hire thousands of refugees and google and other tech companies have already announced plans to tackle online hate. Despite the hard-left spending decades of hating corporations and 'the man', they seem to be best friends right now.

How on earth do they still have a userbase?

I would say a lot of people have alts, but then I found out that they require a personal, non-free email account from work or a university

I think a better question would be "how do they even have a userbase to begin with?" Seriously, why would you ever use your personal email for a forum?

Once again, Read the Unabombers Manifesto. He laid this shit out.

Havent seen this mentioned yet but pdp today's video was him reacting to random viral fuckups from streamers. He doesn't mention his own fail tho scandal.

Just a theory but i think this is his self-aware-ironic(TM) way of saying "everyone fucks up on stream sometimes".

actually it's a reupload because it was originally taken down before

Ah i didn't know. Still, i don't think it's a coincidence he chose today to reuploaded this video. He knows what he is doing.
It's definitely good timing, either way. I know he's mainly thought of as that annoying yelling guy on YouTube, but I doubt he'd be where he is if he wasn't smart about it.

I don't really care about Jewdiedie, but the it's been a fun diversion watching the Firewatch guy getting triggered into filing false DMCA's only to trigger his lawyer into telling him to cut that shit out.

It's honestly funny watching this guy commit career suicide by trying to DMCA someone's content for wrong thought.

That's a stupid rule for a forum, or anywhere really. Makes it easier for them to shame people who have the wrong opinions I guess.

Is it worth it, tho?

In the industries I care about, namely comics and videogames, I can see the numbers for SJW pandering - and they ain't pretty.

Just look at their fucking terms of service
B. Registration must be performed with an Internet Service Provider, education, or workplace email address. No other types of email addresses will be accepted, including all free email addresses (@gmail), addresses tied to personal domains (@myrandomblog), addresses part of standalone paid accounts (@me), or any of a limited number of domains that have been blacklisted for abuse despite otherwise falling within the bounds of ISP/education/workplace (@aol). The approval process is manual and subject to a significant waiting period.

C. By registering an account at NeoGAF.com and participating (including but not limited to submitting posts or private messages on NeoGAF.com), you hereby grant NeoGAF LLC and our licensees, distributors, agents, representatives and other authorized users, a perpetual, non-exclusive, irrevocable, fully-paid, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable (in whole or part) worldwide license under all copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, privacy and publicity rights and other intellectual property rights you own or control to use, reproduce, transmit, display, exhibit, distribute, index, comment on, modify, create derivative works based upon, perform and otherwise exploit the messages posted or private messages sent on NeoGAF.com, in whole or in part, in all media formats and channels now known or hereafter devised, for any and all purposes including entertainment, news, advertising, promotional, marketing, publicity, trade or commercial purposes, all without further notice to you, with or without attribution, and without the requirement of any permission from or payment to you or to any other person or entity.

Now of course, point C is just standard terms of service jargin. But combined with Point B, it basically becomes a big red sign saying:
"WE WILL DOX YOU IF WE WANT TO"

Yeah, because obviously it's not like the reasons different, oh wait. With Cuphead, you had a guy play like DSP that it got him flak, especially when he tried to double-down on it. With PewDiePie, he pretty much said the n-word on stream in some frustrated or edgy manner. There is a difference but then again, one can't discount people trying to conflate Dean and PewDiePie as being some sort of gamer hypocrisy or something like that.

I don't really care about Jewdiedie, but the it's been a fun diversion watching the Firewatch guy getting triggered into filing false DMCA's only to trigger his lawyer into telling him to cut that shit out.
The salt from this is bound to get people trying to be on high horses and such. Whatever ones thoughts are on a screaming manchild streaming gamer, PewDiePie managed to attract some salty individuals, be it on Twitter or other sites like TV Tropes. The Firewatch guy is only the tip of this since now, we get others butting in.

Youtube doesn't answer to their viewers or their content creators and this has been obvious to years.
Youtube only answers to their advertisers as those are Youtube's main customers. If the advertisers want Pewdiepie gone, he'll be gone.

Lol then when his audience leaves with him, who will they advertise to?

He's probably already outlived his projected brand lifespan. 7 years for something targeted at teenagers is a fucking eternity.
