Notice how none of these people have "in a relationship" as their current status.

@P.A While all these controversies are pretty stupid, I will say that the fact that these controversies ultimately have little effect on the success of the YouTubers is something I see as a silver lining here. I remember when saying nigger completely ruined someone's career and image, I still think back to how Michael Richards dropped off the map to this day. It's nice to see that people (generally) aren't spurred into an unfathomable rage whenever someone says the n word anymore.
Michael Richards wasn't funny, his attempt at shock humor wasn't funny, and he was clearly just going on a shitty rant. The kind that people start turning on even really good comedians for.

Ever hope someone's just fucking with you?

The attempt at shock humor may not have been funny but television lost one of their best actors when they blacklisted Richards and anyone who disagrees clearly needs to take another look back at his work as Kramer to realize that.

Did he have any other roles he was good for?
Even if you only give a basic look through IMDB you can see that although he was only nominated for Emmies due to his work in Seinfeld, (which he won 3 of, by the way) Michael Richards has received a film festival award for his work in Walk the Light, and was nominated for funniest supporting actor for his work in Unstrung Heroes. So no, Kramer was not only notable for being in Seinfeld. He has a consistent history of being a talented comedy actor and just because he said something stupid that doesn't mean he wasn't a great actor.

More importantly though, this is starting to get off-topic. If you want to keep arguing about this you can PM me I guess but I think it would be best to keep it out of this thread from now on.

Is post pardon slave syndrome a real thing or something gaffots made up?

It's a term/idea made up by Dr. Joy DeGruy but I believe these gaffer's are adding their own meanings to it as well. It seems to go along the lines of "my ancestors we're slaves so I have a form of PTSD carried down from them". I might be wrong on that but it is some heavy tl;dr shit if you Google it.

>"No offense but if your friends don't feel opressed they must be mentally ill and should seek psycological help"

what the fuck neogaf

That by far is way more racist than just dropping an N-bomb out of frustration.

Black people who don't conform to my narrow, idealized view of them do not exist.
Uncle Tom et al. I actually know this brown girl who gets really offended when you call her a nigger. Not because she's offended over the racism but because she's offended that anyone would associate her with niggers. I found that hilarious.

Anyway, Donald Glover had the right idea when he said white people have to just say "nigger" casually more often to remove the stigma. Honestly, would you rather deal with some uncomfortable feelings than letting a word rule you like that? Who even cares any more? It's not the 1800s any more and black people aren't slaves.

my sjw friend weighs in:
He's not filing the dmca takedown on the stream where he said on, just on his Firewatch videos.
The legal argument being that Let's Plays aren't covered under fair use and that developers only allow them to exist because it gives them free advertising/publicity, but if Campo Santo doesn't want to be associated with Pewdiepie, then they have a right to take down those videos.

So... I kindof agree with Campo Santo, though some people are concerned that if Pewdiepie takes this to court, it could redefine the law in a way that might be harmful to others. But I mean, I can't fault Campo Santo for not wanting to be associated with Pewdiepie, and it seems as if they are within legal standing to take down his Let's Play of Firewatch, though, the law is so nebulous here that it could kind of be argued either way, because the argument is just over if Let's Plays are fair use.
